Shannara Chronicles Teases the Warlock's Return With 'Graymark' Promo

On next week's episode of The Shannara Chronicles, Allanon (Manu Bennett) and the others will try to prepare for the impending return of the Warlock Lord, while also dealing with the threat of the Crimson and their leader, General Riga (Desmond Chiam.)

Season 1 of The Shannara Chronicles ended with the defeat of the Dagda Mor and the ascension of Amberlee (Poppy Drayton) as the new Ellcrys. The season 2 premiere saw Bandon (Marcus Vanco) embrace his dark side in a quest to resurrect the Warlock Lord, an evil Druid corrupted by dark magic as well as the main villain of the first book of the Shannara series, Sword of Shannara. The Warlock Lord was defeated 30 years ago by Shea, Flick, and Allanon. If Bandon succeeds in fully restoring the Warlock Lord to life,  it may be up to Shea's son Will (Austin Butler) to stop him.

A promo for next week's episode of The Shannara Chronicles, "Graymark", teases the return of the Warlock Lord and a battle between Allanon and the Crimson. We see Eretria (Ivana Baquero) and Garet (Gentry White) taking on a number of enemies, while Allanon is arrested by the Crimson as a magic-user and brought before General Riga. We hear Allanon ask "Who is going to defeat the Warlock Lord if he awakens again?"

It remains to be seen if Riga and the Crimson will be able to unite with Allanon under a common cause, or if the Crimson will continue to relentlessly hunt magic-users regardless of the threat posed to them by Bandon and the Warlock Lord. What we do know is that the coming of the Warlock Lord will continue to incite action from multiple parties, which is made clear when Garet notes that "Everybody with a party trick is coming out of the woodwork."

Last night's episode, "Wraith," reunited Will with his uncle Flick, who told him the truth about his father and the Elfstones. Bandon kidnapped Flick who knows the location of the Warlock Lord's skull, which Bandon will need to resurrect him. If Will and Allanon's mysterious daughter Mareth (Malese Jow) aren't able to rescue him in time, the Warlock Lord could soon be revived.
