Two clips from this week's episode of The Shannara Chronicles show Allanon (Man Bennett) to be in serious peril after being captured by the Crimson, led by the magic-hating General Riga (Desmond Chiam).
The season 1 finale of The Shannara Chronicles put an end to the battle with the Dagda Mor, with Amberlee (Poppy Drayton) sacrificing herself to become the new Ellcrys. Will (Austin Butler), blaming Allanon for what happened to Amberlee, went off on his own to find Eretria (Ivana Baquero). At the beginning of season 2, we learned that Bandon (Marcus Vanco) has begun a quest to resurrect the Warlock Lord, the villain of Sword of Shannara and the enemy of Will's father, Shea. Will, Eretria, and Allanon will have to reunite to defeat the Warlock Lord, but will also need the help of new allies such as Allanon's daughter, Mareth (Malese Jow).

Spike has released two clips for this week's episode, titled "Graymark", which show Allanon being interrogated by Riga and Will sharing an emotional moment with Eretria. Riga argues with Allanon about the evils of magic. Riga expresses his belief that all magic-users are dangerous, while Allanon tries in vain to convince Riga that the more imminent threat is the Warlock Lord.
Riga brushes off Allanon's warning, claiming that men like him will defeat the Warlock Lord. It's revealed during their conversation what Riga really wants from Allanon: the Codex of Paranor, the source of all druid magic. Riga believes he can purge magic from the Four Lands by destroying it.
In the second clip, Will talks to Eretria about the pain of losing Amberlee. Will confesses to Eretria that he uses the Elfstones to see her again. Will and Eretria also work on putting together a dangerous plan, presumably to save Allanon from the Crimson. It appears that the two will be aided by bounty hunter Garet Jax (Gentry White) and Mareth. Eretria seems wary of Mareth, but Will points out that she has "the world's worst dad" and should be given the benefit of the doubt.
In last week's episode, Eretria watched as Allanon was captured by the Crimson, forcing Eretria to go look for Will by herself. Meanwhile, Will's uncle Flick was captured by Bandon, who promised to kill Flick if Will didn't deliver Allanon to him in three days. It remains to be seen if Will and Eretria's long-awaited reunion will lead to the druid's rescue.
