Shanna Moakler is praising Travis Barker's "beautiful wife" Kourtney Kardashian concerning The Kardashians star's hospitalization. Travis has been receiving prayers and support after being admitted to a hospital earlier this week. Photographers captured images showing Kourtney by her husband's side during this frightening situation. His children have asked fans for prayers as many express their concern for the Blink-182 drummer.
It was later revealed that a bout of pancreatitis is what led to Travis's hospitalization. The rock star experienced inflammation of the pancreas that causes abdominal pain. Insiders believe the issues were brought on by a recent colonoscopy Travis had received. The rocker's medical emergency comes one month after he and Kourtney tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Portofino, Italy. Both of their three children were present for the nuptials with Travis Barker's kids sticking around after the wedding to tour the city with their dad and stepmom. But now Alabama Barker is asking fans to pray for her dad as he fights to regain good health.
Amid the health scare, Travis's ex-wife Shanna expressed her gratitude to Kourtney and everyone supporting her kid's father. "Thank you to everyone who has reached out with concern to my ex and father of my children,” Shanna told Us Weekly. “I know he is in great hands and surrounded by loving support, the best medical teams available and his beautiful wife Kourtney.” The Celebrity Big Brother star, who shares 16-year-old daughter Alabama, and 18-year-old son Landon with Travis added, “I pray for a speedy recovery and for the comfort of my children as I know they are very concerned and worried.” Travis also maintains his stepdad role to Shanna's 23-year-old daughter Atiana De La Hoya, her child with ex Oscar De La Hoya.
Travis is no stranger to health scares. He overcame blood clots in his arm that put a pause on Blink-182's Las Vegas residency. That came a decade after Travis survived a plane crash that took the lives of his friends. Shanna knows her ex-husband has all the strength needed to make it out of his current health emergency. “Travis has beat the odds numerous times and I know with his support system he will do it again,” Shanna continued. “I will always be here for him and my children. Godspeed.” Those were nice words from Shanna after she spent last year expressing her gripes about Travis dating Kourtney. It wasn't until Travis popped the question to Kourtney last October that Shanna finally came around to accepting the relationship.
But the Barker kids have been very supportive of Travis and Kourtney. The teens have teased how well they get along with The Kardashians star by posting videos with her on TikTok. Now the newly blended family is facing their first challenge following their union. It's no way to celebrate being newlyweds. Kourtney has support from swarms of fans, family, friends, and even Shanna.
