Warning: This article includes spoilers for Shang Chi & the Legend of the Ten Rings!

The MCU has had its fair share of music artists lend their sound to its movies and now Shang-Chi & the Legend of the Ten Rings has joined that club. Official albums for movies date back as far as The Avengers, which featured music from Soundgarden and Rise Against. But with Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther, the music became an integral part of the story and marketing.

Black Panther's album, which was produced by Kendrick Lamar, went straight to the top position on the Billboard charts and won a Grammy for one of its tracks. Every song on the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 soundtrack was picked by its director James Gunn and hit the eighth best-selling album of 2017. Now Shang-Chi can continue that success Marvel Studios has had with its addition to music to its films.

For Shang-Chi, the team behind the music came from the Asian and Asian American-focused music label 88rising. While many of the songs on the album didn't find a way into the finished film, it was important to the filmmakers to bring on Asian artists like JJ Lin and NIKI. Some Marvel fans may be surprised by some of the tracks, so here is every song in Shang-Chi and where it appears in the story.

  • Rich Brian, EARTHGANG, "Act Up" - Shang-Chi wakes up and starts his day.
  • Lea Salonga, Brad Kane, "A Whole New World" - First song Shang-Chi and Katy sing in the karaoke booth.
