Shang-Chi shows off his secret martial arts skills in a new clip from the Marvel movie. The next film on the studio's Phase 4 slate, officially titled Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is set to introduce Simu Liu's titular character to the MCU. Known in the comics as Marvel's Master of Kung Fu, the film's version of Shang-Chi is the son of Wenwu (Tony Leung), the real Mandarin and leader of the clandestine Ten Rings organization following the notorious fakeout from Iron Man 3 (although Ben Kingsley seems to have a role in Shang-Chi as well).

The film will mainly revolve around this father-son conflict, but it also boasts an intriguing supporting cast as well, namely Awkawfina who plays Katy, a close friend of Shang-Chi's who is unaware of his past. Meng'er Zhang is making her screen debut as Xialing, Wenwu's daughter and Shang-Chi's estranged sister. Creed II's Florian Munteanu will play a secondary villain in Razor Fist, a mercenary who is hired to kill Shang-Chi. Benedict Wong will return to the MCU, along with Michelle Yeoh playing a different character this time around who is the guardian of a mythical city.

With Shang-Chi's release date coming up early next month, its promotional campaign has been in full swing for some time now. The latest look at the Marvel film comes in a new clip which finds Shang-Chi and Katy on a bus. This scene has been teased in trailers and TV spots many times before, but this latest clip provides perhaps the best look at the Kung Fu sequence, clocking in at over one minute. After three assailants demand the pendant, Shang-Chi shows off a barrage of martial arts skills, much to the amazement of Katy and other onlookers. Watch the new clip below:

Not much is known is about the film's mystery item, the pendant Shang-Chi is wearing, but the same necklace can be seen around his sister Xialing's neck during the fighting tournament scenes. The pendant appears to be a family heirloom, one that reminds Shang-Chi of his unfortunate familial past and forces him to confront it. Another interesting tidbit from the clip is the guy live-streaming the fight on the bus is the same actor, Zach Cherry, who previously played a New York City civilian in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The clip further reinforces the fact that Shang-Chi is a full-on Kung Fu film, unlike anything Marvel Studios has ever done before. This has been a heavy focus of the marketing campaign and based on early reactions to Shang-Chi, it appears to be paying off since some are calling it the best action Marvel has ever produced. On September 3, audiences will have the chance to make up their minds for themselves.
