A new Shang-Chi and the Legends of Ten Rings TV spot features more of the Mandarin using the Ten Rings. Following Black Widow, Marvel Studios is planning to exclusively return to cinemas with the Destin Daniel Cretton and Simu Liu movie. With less than a month to go before the anticipated project releases, marketing for it has been in full swing to keep the hype up leading to its premiere.

There are a couple of things to be excited about in the aforementioned blockbuster. For starters, it will debut a brand new hero in the MCU and open up an entirely new pocket that would be further explored moving forward. The movie will also continue Marvel Studios' plan to diversify the franchise, both in front and behind the camera. Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings is the first installment in the universe to feature a primarily Asian cast. Finally, it will also introduce the real Mandarin almost 10 years since that fake-out twist in Shane Black's Iron Man 3. This version of the character also goes by the name of Wenwu and is played by Tony Leung; he's been updated to be Shang-Chi's father in the story.

Mandarin's introduction in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings comes with the debut of the Ten Rings — his primary source of power and weapon in the comics. They have been prominently featured in marketing for the movie, the latest of which features a new look at how they can be used. The clip reveals Wenwu transferring them all to one arm and uses their power to punch the ground. Check it out below:

Based on the background of the fight, it's safe to assume that this will be during the final battle in the movie. Cross-referencing it with other trailers, there are certain elements from the action set piece, including a sighting of flying dragons and giant lions, which were also briefly featured in the new TV spot. Interestingly, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings appears to have several massive battles. Aside from the traditional third-act fight scene, there's also at least one that takes place during the Ancient times as Wenwu has been spotted wearing a traditional Chinese costume with long hair. He's wearing his hair much shorter in the aforementioned TV spot — an indication that it's where he would ultimately go face-to-face against his son as seen in previously-released marketing materials.

Another takeaway from the new Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings spot is its final shot — Shang-Chi harnessing some kind of power. Looking closer, it appears as if the energy comes from a few of the Ten Rings. This is more likely after he and the Mandarin are locked in a one-on-one where he successfully snagged several of the magical bracelets. It's difficult to say how the movie wraps up, but seeing that he can command the Ten Rings, it's not outside the realm of possibility that it ends with Shang-Chi possessing and using them for good.
