Following the Shameless season 11 finale, the cast will reunite for a virtual house party. The long-running Showtime series is approaching the end of its run, with the finale set to air on April 11. Shameless focuses on the Chicago-based Gallagher family, led by William H. Macy's Frank. Throughout the course of the series, the characters have dealt with Frank's alcoholism and addiction, as well as problems of their own. Shameless has been lauded for its honest portrayal of a family living in poverty, earning several Emmy nominations and wins over the years.

Season 11 premiered in December 2020 and is the second season without one of the show's original leads, Emmy Rossum. She departed the show in 2019, with her character Fiona, the oldest of the Gallagher children, leaving Chicago to start her life anew. Though many viewers are hoping Fiona appears in the series finale, that isn't confirmed as of now. It will depend on Rossum's availability but would certainly provide a nice bookend to the series, tempering disappointment the show is over.

It also helps Showtime is planning a virtual event following the series finale. Per TVInsider, the "Shameless Gallagher House Party" will go live on April 11 at 10 EST, directly following the finale. It will feature a cast reunion and discussion of Shameless, as well as a virtual tour of the Gallagher home. Cast members Macy, Jeremy Allen White, Ethan Cutkosky, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, Emma Kenney, Cameron Monaghan, Christian Isaiah, Noel Fisher, and Kate Miner will all be in attendance, as will executive producer and showrunner John Wells. Showtime shared a poster for the virtual event, which you can check out below:

Cast discussions following series finales have become fairly commonplace in the last several years. They offer an additional way to celebrate a long-running series and also make the finale feel more like an event worthy of the show. However, the tour of the Gallagher home indicates Showtime is thinking a little more outside of the box with this particular experience. The house has almost become an additional character on Shameless, central as it is to the series. It makes sense to spotlight it in this way.

It remains to be seen how Shameless' series finale will wrap up the stories of the show's characters. Hopefully, the episode serves as a satisfying conclusion, bringing back some familiar faces for additional closure. Viewers will find out one way or another when the Shameless season 11 finale airs on April 11 at 9 EST.
