A new fan-made video has surfaced that takes Shaggy beyond Mortal Kombat and directly into a battle against The Avengers. This video is a response to the Shaggy memes that have recently taken over the Internet. The memes go back to shortly after the release of the movie Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur, in which Shaggy gets hypnotized and takes down a biker gang. A YouTube user grabbed that scene and added Dragon Ball Super music to it, creating the epic Ultra Instinct Shaggy that has spawned an Internet sensation.

Artwork of the super-powerful Shaggy soon followed. After the release of Avengers: Infinity War, memes of Shaggy taking down Thanos surfaced, but the memes didn't become popular until recently after Reddit and Twitter users began to share them. Ultra Instinct Shaggy became so popular that fans started to petition for his inclusion in Mortal Kombat 11 as DLC. To date, that petition has over 350,000 signatures. Matthew Lillard, the actor who portrayed Shaggy in the live-action Scooby-Doo movies, gave the memes his approval. Even Ed Boon, who co-created Mortal Kombat 11, tweeted a Photoshopped image of Shaggy in the game, fueling fire to the demand for Shaggy.

YouTube user MightyRacoon! published an animated fan-made video that shows Shaggy going up against The Avengers. Here's a spoiler: Shaggy dominates. But the best part comes at the end when Thanos shows up, so be sure to watch the video all the way through in its brutally violent glory. Zoinks!

So will Shaggy get his day in Mortal Kombat 11? It seems that despite the public support of adding the character to the game, it probably won't happen. The official Mortal Kombat 11 Twitter posted "#RIPShaggy" recently, suggesting the game does not have plans to add him. Of course, that doesn't mean Ultra Instinct Shaggy won't ever appear in a Mortal Kombat game, and now the developers should know there is a lot of interest in it. At least Shaggy fans got the Supernatural and Scooby Doo crossover episode they always wanted, and if anything, that episode proved fans still love Shaggy and Scooby Doo.

Although there is a spin-off Daphne and Velma movie in the works, it seems fans might be more interested in a Shaggy movie. Is there anyone in Hollywood who could make that happen? If not, at least creative fans can make videos like this that keep the legend of Ultra Instinct Shaggy alive.
