Viewers are eager to see the face behind the masks of all the Sexy Beasts participants, including Gabi the Owl. Since the show premiered on Netflix, viewers have been baffled by Sexy Beasts' strange concept, but that doesn't stop them from tuning it. Gabi competed against Karissa the Troll and Bella the Dinosaur to win the heart of Ibrahim the Wolf. Now that Gabi Mascaro has unmasked herself, here are some fun facts about the dating show star.
Gabi was introduced to the Sexy Beasts cameras as a veterinary student from West Virginia. When she came to the show, she shockingly told the cameras she had never been on a dating app. "I don't want to swipe right or left on people because I don't think that their looks have anything to do with who they are," she said. If looks don’t matter, Sexy Beasts was the perfect show for her, as the show’s contestants are all in masks until the very end. Gabi chose to be an owl, complete with a face full of feathers, painted arms, and a beak. Like the other show members, every inch of her was covered, shielding viewers from her face, hair, and other features.
When Gabi unveiled herself, Ibrahim screamed “Golly!” and told her she was beautiful. She walked into the Sexy Beasts Manor having ditched the bird disguise to show her true self. She has shoulder-length brown hair with blonde highlights, light skin, and thick eyebrows. To add to her already modelesque features, she wore a long, sparkly golden dress which she, as she told her 3,000 Instagram followers, borrowed from her friend. Fitting the owl trend, she described her appearance on Sexy Beasts – The Masked Singer and Love is Blind lovechild – as “a hoot.”
As a student at The Royal Veterinary College, Gabi loves animals more than people. She says she has the greatest dog in the world and one of her red flags was a man who doesn't allow the furry critters on the bed. She also said on Instagram that she also loves Asian elephants, especially for their orange spots. In 2015, she got to spend days taking care of elephants, an event she shared with Ibrahim on their second date.
Despite his extreme opposition to her extreme desire to allow dogs on the bed, Ibrahim gave her a chance, saying he felt like the two really had a connection. Gabi was the lucky girl to be chosen by Ibrahim in the end, and even the show narrator Rob Delaney agreed she was hot. But Gabi told Ibrahim she wanted a few more dates, as she only felt the friendship vibe from him. She is currently residing in London and, after viewing her Instagram, there aren’t any pictures of her and Ibrahim. In fact, below her Sexy Beasts Instagram post, one of her male followers commented that he's "one lucky guy" and she responded with a heart emoji. Within her Instagram lies a photo of herself and the man cuddled up at a restaurant. So, if Gabi is in a relationship with someone, it just might be him.
While Gabi may have not given any details about what happened with Ibrahim, it doesn't seem as if they stayed together. Maybe they just remained friends or maybe they completely lost all contact. With a show like this, it doesn't look to be creating any lifelong relationships. But maybe the upcoming season of Sexy Beasts will prove us wrong.
