Sex Education season 3 adds more names to its cast with Harry Potter’s Jason Isaacs, Girls star Jemima Kirke, and recording artist Dua Saleh. The coming-of-age British comedy-drama became a hit for Netflix when it was released in 2019. Created by Lauria Nunn, Sex Education follows the trials and tribulations of teenager Otis (Asa Butterfield), who navigates through his awkward high school years while living with sex therapist mom Dr. Jean Milburn (Gillian Anderson). Earlier this year, season 2 arrived on Netflix, providing a fresh batch of adventures, tribulations, and lessons for the teenage gang. Now, Sex Education is adding new faces to walk the halls of Moordale High.

Per Deadline, Sex Education has cast Isaacs, Kirke, and Saleh for season 3. Best known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise, Isaacs will play Peter Groff, Headmaster Groff’s arrogant and much more successful older brother. Kirke (Jessa from Girls) joins the cast as Hope, a former Moordale student who is the school’s new headmistress. Making their debut in an acting role, Saleh will portray Cal, a nonbinary student who stirs up strife in Headmistress Hope’s new vision for the school.

Masterfully centering on leads Otis, Maeve (Emma Mackey), and Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), Sex Education season 2 added character depth for the supporting crew and ended with storylines left dangling in the air. As for the release date of season 3, Netflix has yet to make an official announcement. However, production on Sex Education season 3 resumed earlier this month.

Jemima Kirke as Jessa in Girls

There’s no telling how long Netflix will carry out the series since high school shows always prove tricky to surpass graduation, but adding the talents of Isaacs, Kirke, and Saleh furthers the anticipation for Sex Education season 3.
