The salaries for the stars of the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That…, have been revealed. During the late ‘90s, Candace Bushnell's Sex and the City novel was scooped up by show creator Darren Star to become a groundbreaking, award-winning, and legendary series for HBO. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and Kim Cattrall, the show follows four friends - Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha - as they navigate life and love in New York City.

Earlier this year, HBO announced that a Sex and the City reboot series, titled And Just Like That…, was coming to HBO, sans Cattrall’s Samantha Jones. Helmed by Michael Patrick King, the new installment of Sex and the City will feature the return of numerous characters from the original series. These include Chris Noth as Mr. Big, John Corbett as Aidan Shaw, and Bridget Moynahan as Natasha. Originally, it was reported that the Sex and the City leading trio, Parker, Davis, and Nixon, would receive up to $1 million per episode. Now, while Sex and the City is currently in the midst of filming in the Big Apple, it has been revealed what the three stars are actually taking home.

A report released by Variety, says that Parker, Davis, and Nixon are earning $650K-$750K per episode for And Just Like That…. Seemingly, the three co-stars negotiated with HBO Max as a group to ensure the same salary for their comeback. The Sex and the City reboot salaries reveal the competitive nature of streaming services to tag on star talent, as the same report disclosed that Oscar-winner Kate Winslet made $650K per episode for Mare of Easttown, and Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Gillian Anderson are set to earn $600K per episode for their work in The First Lady.

Indeed, Parker’s net worth as Carrie Bradshaw has improved significantly from her days of earning $150,000 per episode of Sex and the City during season 3. However, her rate for the reboot is lower than the last three seasons, when Parker was reportedly earning $3.2 million per episode. Of course, her payout was significantly higher during that time due to her involvement with the series as an executive producer. Addressing how the Covid-19 pandemic has altered New York City, And Just Like That... is slated for ten 30-minute episodes.

Of course, the stars of Sex and the City have made significant strides in their career since pouring their first cosmopolitan, and HBO needed to ensure Parker, Davis, and Nixon would earn salaries that would make the series worth their time. As it stands, And Just Like That… continues to attempt taper the sting of the absence of fan-favorite Samantha Jones by revealing first looks at new characters, reuniting cast members, and interesting fashion choices. And Just Like That... is expected to premiere on HBO Max in late 2021.
