Sarah Jessica Parker literally took a trip down memory lane as she visited Carrie Bradshaw's New York apartment ahead of the Sex and the City revival. Based on Candace Bushnell's novel, the hit HBO series aired from 1998 to 2004. It followed the lives of four women in their 30s as they juggled careers, love, and friendship. Parker played Carrie Bradshaw, a newspaper columnist, and the show's official narrator. Kristen Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and Kim Cattrall completed the female-led cast. Because of its witty dialogues and glamorous depiction of New York City life, Sex and the City became a global sensation and even released two follow-up movies after the series wrapped up.

Eleven years after the last movie aired, HBO Max announced in January that it is bringing back the successful TV show. Entitled And Just Like That, the reboot will be a 10-episode limited series that will serve as a new chapter in the girls' lives now that they're in their 50s. All original lead stars will be reprising their roles with the exception of Cattrall, who played the sexy publicist Samantha Jones.

One night before the Sex and the City revival begins production, Parker went on a walk around New York's West Village and found herself in front of her character's old apartment. The 56-year-old actress shared photos of her evening stroll on Instagram and expressed her excitement and nervousness over the sequel series. "AND JUST LIKE THAT, we find ourselves on this street called Perry the night before it all begins again," she wrote in the caption.

Parker also tagged Michael Patrick King, the show's executive producer since its first run. Davis, who will reprise her role as Charlotte, shared Parker's excitement and commented that she is also thrilled to start filming. Aside from the three lead stars, HBO confirmed that the girls' husbands in the original series will return for And Just Like That: Chris Noth, who played the role of Carrie's love interest Mr. Big, David Eigenberg as Miranda's Steve, and Evan Handler as Charlotte's Harry.

Parker's post triggered nostalgic vibes among Sex and the City fans who have been waiting to see their favorite group of girlfriends back on the screen. Carrie's apartment at 64 Perry Street was an iconic part of the series. Fans can instantly spot the brownstone facade as well as its memorable front doorsteps. From passionate kisses to painful breakups, many of Carrie's most joyful and tearful moments happened in this spot.

It is unclear whether the revival will feature the Sex and the City landmark. In the series, Carrie lived there as a single woman. The succeeding movies saw her get married to Mr. Big and settle in their flashy penthouse. It's been 11 years since fans last saw the beloved character on screen and knowing her fabulous lifestyle, many things could have changed. One thing is for sure: And Just Like That can't come any sooner.
