The Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That... has recast Miranda Hobbes' son with an older actor alongside his new girlfriend. The iconic HBO series will return on HBO Max for ten episodes, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis all set to reprise their roles as Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte, respectively. Kim Cattrall is not returning as Samantha Jones after her widely publicized feud with Parker, but that hasn't stopped the network from moving ahead with the reboot. With both Sex and the City movies being lambasted by both critics and fans, a new iteration is most welcome.

In addition to Parker, Nixon, and Davis, a slew of original cast members are also slated to return for the revival. After much speculation surrounding his return, it was announced that Chris Noth will return as Mr. Big and a rumored script leak has purported that Carrie and her longtime husband have gotten a divorce. In addition to Noth, Willie Garson is returning as Stanford alongside Mario Canton as Anthony, David Eigenberg as Steve, and Evan Handler as Harry.

Another character returning is Miranda's son, Brady Hobbes, but this time he will be played by a different actor. EW reports that Niall Cunningham of Life in Pieces will be taking on the role of Brady in And Just Like That... It is unclear how old he will be when the series picks up, but he will be old enough to have a girlfriend. Cree Cicchino has been cast as Luisa Torres, Brady's significant other.

The fact that Brady will be all grown up and with a girlfriend will just be another reminder of how long it has been since Sex and the City ended in 2004. The reboot is part nostalgia trip and part opportunity to see the women at the center of the series take on a new chapter in their lives. It will also put on display just how much things have changed in the world since the conclusion of the series. Those involved have said And Just Like That... will tackle modern issues surrounding feminism and social media.

Much of that may be centered around the women's children as they will likely be a prominent voice in their parents' lives now that they are much older. It is unclear if Carrie will have had any kids when the series picks up, but Charlotte's daughters are also said to be involved in And Just Like That... HBO Max has yet to reveal a release date for the highly anticipated series but it will likely premiere sometime in the first half of 2022.
