If we took the characters from Sex and the City out of Manhattan and into the vast world of Westeros, they would definitely not all belong to the same house. Each house has a different set of beliefs, priorities, and personality traits. The four fabulous women might be best friends, but they realistically have very little in common. Miranda, Samantha, Carrie, and Charlotte all want different things out of life, and so do their romantic interests.

Only a fraction of Sex and the City characters would make Westeros a better place. Those who are self-centered, stubborn, and emotionally unstable would definitely start some wars. It's okay to be explosive and expressive in Manhattan, but the fictional world of Game of Thrones is a much more unforgiving place.

Trey MacDougal: House Arryn

Lord Robert Arryn was late Lord Arryn's only child and he was just a sick boy when the story of Game of Thrones began. He had one major thing in common with Charlotte's first husband, Trey MacDougal: they were both overly attached to their mothers and they let them run their lives for them.

When Trey and Charlotte got divorced, Trey didn't even show up. Instead, Charlotte had to fight his mother Bunny.

Smith Jerrod: House Targaryen

Smith Jerrod might be the best looking guy on the show, but he is just as beautiful on the inside. He could have had any woman in the world, but he chose to stay by Samantha through thick and thin.

Targaryens are sensitive, emotional, and willing to die for those they love. Even when Samantha got cancer, Smith stood by her. Similarly, Rhaegar fought for his star-crossed lover, even though it wasn't meant to be.

Harry Goldenblatt: House Lannister

Harry Goldenblatt is smart, cunning, and a little bit devious, just like Tyrion. Both men represent the good things about House Lannister, even though they are not as handsome as other members of the family.

Harry is an incredibly wealthy man who wields a lot of power. As a divorce lawyer, he got Charlotte an apartment, worth several million dollars - not to mention a wonderful life she always dreamed of.

Aidan Shaw: House Baratheon

Aidan Shaw smiling faintly in SatC.

After Robert was crowned king after Robert's Rebellion, he clearly lost his mojo. This is a man who doesn't belong behind tall castle walls. He would much rather feast, fight, and enjoy his freedom elsewhere. The strong and masculine Aidan didn't share Robert's inclinations towards cardinal sins. He did, however, share his belief that he doesn't belong in a big city like New York.

Carrie wanted Aidan to go to fabulous New York City parties with her, but he said that he would much rather stay at home. Even though he was a countryman, he is one of the few Carrie's men that we would love to date.

Steve Brady: House Stark

Close up of Steve Brady

Just like House Stark is the fan-favorite, so is Steve Brady the best man that any of the women have dated on the show. He might not be rich like Mr. Big or Richard, but he is emotionally available, caring, and reliable. Just like Ned Stark, he is an honorable man who would never do anything to compromise his family.

The Sex and the City: The Movie did a huge disservice to Steve when the writers had him cheat on Miranda. Ned Stark was also similarly wronged. In order to keep a promise to his sister Lyanna, he never told a soul that Jon Snow isn't his actually his son. For years, Catelyn had thought that her husband cheated on her, even though that was obviously not in his character.

Mr Big: House Greyjoy

John James Preston, AKA Mr. Big

Tall, handsome, masculine, and uninvolved in other people's lives, Mr. Big embodies some of the most obvious traits of House Greyjoy. Greyjoys are stranded on the Iron Islands, living their own lives separately from Westeros. It's as if Mr. Big lived on some mysterious islands himself - and by that, we don't mean Manhattan.

Mr. Big comes and goes as he pleases. But instead of a fleet, he gets around with a limo. Because of the way his avoidant behavior towards Carrie, it was easy to hate him. But then again, we also felt sorry for him because he obviously struggled with some inner demons of his own.

Miranda Hobbs: House Tyrell

Miranda is wise, perceptive, and loyal. She is not the type of woman who daydreams and slacks off. When she had a problem with her friends, she spoke to them directly and truthfully, channeling Olenna Tyrell in her best moments.

At first glance, Miranda is the least enthusiastic about having children one day. But after she had Brady and she married Steve, she was the most loyal woman of them all. Tyrells are one of the few houses where every member works for the family. Other houses had lots of internal disputes and disagreements.

Charlotte York: House Tully

Even though Charlotte doesn't have auburn hair and blue eyes like typical Tully women do, she would definitely belong to their house because she lives by the motto of the Lords of Riverrun: "Family, Duty, Honor". Her desperate desire to have a family of her own propelled her to marry Trey.

Even though it was clear that it wasn't working out, she did the dutiful thing and decided to make the failed marriage work. Throughout the series, Charlotte transformed from a desperate bachelorette to an elegant, poised woman who resembles Catelyn Stark, originally from House Tully.

Samantha Jones: House Lannister

Samantha had it in her to do some pretty horrible things and was no stranger to being hurt in return. Despite all the hurt and disappointments, she always held her head high, proud, and fearless like a lioness. When we consider the fact that she also has the signature House Lannister blonde hair, Samantha can't be anything else but a member of this divisive family.

The Lannisters might be cruel, but they are also incredibly intelligent and tactful. They understand politics better than most houses and so does Samantha. She works in PR, so she knows how to get what she wants out of people.

Carrie Bradshaw: House Targaryen

The star of the show Carrie Bradshaw represents the shadow side of the ancient Targaryens. It is a pretty well-known fact that emotions often got the better of the dragon lords and they wouldn't accept harsh truths. Similarly, Carrie refused to stay away from Mr. Big, even though he was clearly emotionally unavailable. One of the saddest things about Carrie is that she has a lot of potential to grow, but always sabotages her happiness at the finish line.

In the world of Game of Thrones, the consequences are much direr. Cheating on Aidan can hardly compare to burning down King's Landing, but both events could have been prevented if Carrie and Danaerys didn't follow their unstable emotional states.
