Along with a plethora of enemies and weapons, Serious Sam 4 also grants players an abundance of cheat commands to use. Nothing says "power-trip" like enabling god-mode and decimating waves of enemies. However, the fulfillment of the action-hero power fantasy isn't the only good reason for players to use cheats. Another reason can just be to progress through the game quickly or to skip to a specific chapter, which the game also has a cheat for. Regardless of the reason for using them, Serious Sam 4's cheats are a lot of fun and a solid addition to the game. Stay tuned and this guide will cover not only how to enable cheat commands, but which ones are currently working and also what they will do for the player.

As Serious Sam 4's console launch is not expected until 2021, this guide will be focusing entirely on the cheats available for the PC version. It is not certain whether console copies will have access to the same cheats as PC players since PC players can rely on the developer console in-game to access cheats. For those who don't know, the developer console is an integrated way for players or developers to manipulate their game with different text commands or codes. The developer console can be opened in a majority of PC games by pressing the tilde or "~" key on the keyboard. Now that players are aware of how to open the developer's console, it's time to cover how to use it and gain access to some game-breaking cheats.

Cheat Commands & How to Use Them in Serious Sam 4

Serious Sam 4 Cheats, developer console, Auto Aim

In order to be able to use cheats, players should first be aware of a few things. First of all, enabling cheats will forfeit players from unlocking achievements and scoring on the leaderboard. However, this is to be expected since using cheats can really take the challenge out of earning a high-score or earning some of the trickier achievements. Second of all, the cheat "codes" are actually console commands. So instead of memorizing controller or keyboard inputs, players will be typing and using scripts that manipulate or change the game. The last thing players should know about the commands is that some commands will require the player to put an integer value after the command in order to receive the desired result or amount. For example, the command to give the player S.A.M Skill Points, "cht_slGiveSkillPoints", should have an "=" then a number after to designate how many Skill Points the player will receive. Furthermore, some commands use the numbers 1 and 0 to represent on and off respectively. For example, "cht_bAutoAim=1" will show that auto-aim is active, "cht_bAutoAim=0" will turn auto-aim off. It should also be noted that not all listed commands currently work, but are likely to be fixed with incoming patches. Down below is a list of possible cheat commands for players to use.

  • "Cht_bEnableCheats=1" Enable this first in order to access all other cheats. Doing this will also forfeit the player from leaderboards and achievements.
  • "Cht_bEnableCheats=0" will turn off cheat mode.
  • "Cht_bAutoAim=1" Should enable Auto Aim for controllers.
  • "Cht_bKillAll=1" Kills all enemies in the vicinity of the player.
  • "Cht_bGod=1" Should enable God mode, but according to players, it doesn't actually work.

  • "Cht_bGhost=1" Should enable No Clip, which will should allow Serious Sam to phase through objects, however players say this one doesn't work either.
  • "Cht_bGiveAll" Gives players all weapons in the game with full ammo.
  • "Cht_bInfiniteAmmo=1" Gives Players an infinite ammo supply.
  • "Cht_bTurbo=1" Supposed to increase player speed, but seems to have no effect.
