As the first-ever mobile game in the series, The Witcher: Monster Slayer offers a variety of new actions to interact with friends online. Including the ability to send gifts to one another, making each other's ventures a bit easier. As instead of going on blissful summer walks to catch pokémon, players will be prowling to slay monsters as their own Witcher.
To send a gift, players will first need to find one. Players can earn and find gifts by hunting down monsters. These gifts can include items such as potions and oils, but cannot be used by the player. Instead, they must be sent off to a friend. This leads us to the next aspect of this, how to connect with friends in-game.
How to Connect with Friends and Give them Gifts in The Witcher: Monster Slayer
To connect with a friend that plays, players will need to ask for their Witcher ID. This should be a unique 12 digit number that players can find under their character profile tab. Once they have the ID number, players can pop that in under the Add a Friend tab. To reach this tab, players will need to select the Character tab, then the Friends tab, and finally the Add a Friend tab. After this has been done, players should be able to find them under the Friend tab at any time.
Now that players have added to their friend's list, they can send gifts that they have earned out on the hunt, as well as receive them from others. Gifting is an incredibly important part of playing the game for those who don't want to pay for extra items. Toss a gift to a fellow Witcher by selecting them under the Friends tab and clicking on the send package option. The more friends in-game, the more people there are to gift and receive gifts from.
Hopefully, the fellow Witcher will gift the player in return. If this does happen, players will not need to find an inbox and open up the package. Instead the contents of the package will jump into the player's ingredients once it is sent to them. This will allow the player to create a variety of formulas in the Alchemy section of the Crafting Station. While these gifts may not help while in the heat of battle, players should be able to quickly craft themselves something after defeating any current monsters in their area to help them in their next hunt.
