Selling Sunset season 6 premiered on Netflix on May 12, and although there was concern the show would be less entertaining without iconic villain Christine Quinn, The Oppenheim Group brought more drama than ever. Between Nicole Young's accusations of favoritism and Chrishell Stause's accusation of Nicole's drug use wedged between uncomfortable disagreements about lifestyle choices, Selling Sunset season 6 often took the drama too far. The hit Netflix reality TV series' nonstop drama turned the show from juicy entertainment to being almost too cringey to watch.

Selling Sunset season 6 featured more feuds than showings, pushing the boundaries further than the luxury real estate show has ever gone. While Jason Oppenheim claimed that Selling Sunset season 6 was the best yet, the nearly nonstop onslaught of drama was almost too much to handle. Even without Christine, the season 6 cast members, made up of Mary Fitzgerald, Amanza Smith, Emma Hernan, Heather Rae El Moussa, Bre Tiesi, Chelsea Lazkani, Davina Potratz, Chrishell, and Nicole, brought the drama every episode. However, there were some moments where they took it too far.

10 Bre And Emma’s Hot-Headed Vegan Empanadas Moment

Selling Sunset season 6 newbie Bre came out of the gate as an assertive and confident agent ready to make her own name outside of baby daddy Nick Cannon. While meeting with a billionaire client and friend of hers, it slipped that another agent from The Oppenheim Group, Emma, had reached out to him about looking at some houses while he was in town. Bre immediately overreacted and confronted Emma, who bizarrely claimed they had only discussed Emma's empanadas, since the potential buyer was also vegan. Regarding cringey moments for the season, it's the least egregious but still set the stage.

9 Chelsea’s Inability To Keep Her Mouth Shut About Bre

Chelsea's likability in Selling Sunset season 6 stemmed from her confident honesty, but one cast member, Bre, clearly didn't appreciate it. When some agents went out together, Bre discovered that Nick had fathered another baby with another woman without telling her, and instead found out from social media. Bre was clearly hurt, and Chelsea blabbed to the rest of the office about Bre's reaction and further elaborated on her disapproval of Bre's situation with Nick. It was cringey, but the real drama unfolded when Bre found out about Chelsea's gossiping.

8 Bre’s Reaction To Chelsea’s Disapproval Of Her Relationship

When Bre found out Chelsea had publicly disapproved of her non-traditional relationship with Nick, her claws came out in full force. The two proceeded to have multiple fights throughout the season on how Chelsea's opinion of her relationship wasn't relevant and was super judgmental. Although Chelsea claimed her reaction was based on a fractured childhood in which her parents weren't as present for her, she still crossed a line in doubling down on her criticism of Bre's lifestyle choices. Allegedly, Bre threatened to kill Chelsea over her comments, a sign the drama went way too far.

7 Mary’s Inability To Handle Conflict

When Jason decided to fly off to Europe with his 25-year-old girlfriend and leave Mary in charge of the office, trouble was sure to erupt. Instead of treading water, Mary managed to mangle the truce between Chrishell and Nicole so severely that it ended up worse than before they met. Additionally, she organized a girls' trip, setting the stage for the most egregiously dramatic moments of the season. She didn't even facilitate a discussion after Nicole and Chrishell unprofessionally ruined Chelsea's broker's open. While Mary wasn't dramatic this season, her inability to manage conflict enabled the majority of The Oppenheim Group drama to be unimpeded.

6 Nicole Confronts Emma At Heather’s Baby Shower

Heather was the least dramatic Selling Sunset season 6 cast member and continued her role as a verifiable ray of sunshine. However, despite her ability to get along with all The Oppenheim Group agents at the office, the other ladies couldn't keep the drama away from her baby shower. When Nicole confronted Emma and asked why she didn't like her, it was so cringey to watch a beautiful baby shower briefly go south. Emma's response was obvious - she's team Chrishell all the way, but Nicole didn't need to confront her at Heather's shower. Nicole's penchant for drama was too much throughout the season. Luckily, Heather didn't seem to notice.

5 Nicole Alluding To Jason’s Favoritism Of Chrishell

When Nicole expressed to Mary her frustration over Chrishell getting undeserved credit for a sale years ago, the ultimate drama of the season began to unfold. However, she took it too far when she suggested Chrishell only got good listings because Jason had a crush on her, and this was years before their relationship.

Nicole clearly had it out for Chrishell from the start, and really hated her for no good reason. While Nicole is also an ex of Jason, she's now happily married, so it seems unlikely that competition over a past flame was the root cause. Additionally, she's close with Mary, who also dated Jason. It seemed like Nicole's only goal as a new cast member was to ruin Chrishell's life, and this is where it all began.

4 Chrishell Calling Nicole A B*tch

Chrishell Stause

At Chelsea's disastrous broker's open, the drama between Nicole and Chrishell finally became too much. Every scene featuring both of them had the potential to become explosive, and the worst usually occurred. Nicole finally confronted Chrishell directly regarding the undeserved credit she got for Nicole's work years ago. Chrishell claimed she didn't know what Nicole was talking about, and Nicole proceeded to go after Chrishell full force, including the accusation of favoritism from Jason. As the argument escalated, Chrishell called Nicole a "b*tch" multiple times, and later said that she had merely implied Nicole was "acting like a b*tch." This wasn't the case.

3 Chrishell Accusing Nicole Of Being On Drugs

The argument between Chrishell and Nicole went way too far on the first night of the disastrous girls' trip to Palm Springs. As Nicole and Chrishell escalated in their shouting over the dinner table, Nicole's accusation that Chrishell managed Jason's business calls struck a nerve in Chrishell. The angry former soap opera star then accused Nicole of being on drugs because of the way she was moving and acting, and even said she seemed "cracked out." It was a shocking moment that pushed the show's boundaries way too far.

2 Nicole Getting A Drug Test

Nicole was understandably shocked and upset at the drug accusations Chrishell threw at her. But instead of letting it lie, she went to get a drug test at the suggestion of her husband Brandon to prove she wasn't on drugs. Additionally, Nicole wanted to make this fact known, sharing it with Chelsea and Mary immediately upon her return. While Chrishell's accusations were outlandish, Nicole's desire to prove her wrong outweighed the urge to talk things out and apologize. The drama just kept getting dragged out.

1 Nicole Threatening To Sue Chrishell

Just when it seemed like the drama couldn't get more intense, Nicole suggested she would sue Chrishell for defamation. She first revealed this privately with Chelsea and Mary, but then publicly declared the statement at the final dinner of the girls' weekend. While Chrishell looked shocked, she didn't seem worried. The drawn-out nature of the Chrishell and Nicole drama was too much to handle in Selling Sunset season 6, and it maybe would've been nice to drown out their egregious drama and see a few more houses.
