Production for Selling Sunset season 4 has been put on pause after a member of the cast tested positive for COVID-19. The show has already dealt with a number of delays due to the ongoing COVID pandemic. The cast has been busy filming seasons 4 and 5 after Netflix greenlit two new seasons earlier this year. As fans anxiously await season 4, it looks like there's yet another delay on a new season premiere.

With only three seasons under its belt, Selling Sunset has successfully garnered a fanbase on the popular streaming platform. The show follows the lives and inner workings of The Oppenheim Group real estate agents. The West Hollywood-based agency works with high-paying clients ranging from celebrities to wealthy business moguls. All the while, Jason and Brett Oppenheim's all-female staff sets the stage for in-office drama and friendship breakups. With Jason now dating Chrishell Stause, fans are eager to dig into a new season and see how the boss and employee managed to spark up a romance.

It looks like viewers will have to wait a little longer before the season 4 premiere now that production has been halted. Selling Sunset has been put on pause after an unnamed cast member tested positive for COVID-19. "The entire cast and crew will be tested twice this week before resuming production," a source told Us Weekly. As a result, production will be "shut down" for 15 days as a safety precaution for the cast and crew. While the release date for Selling Sunset season 4 has yet to be announced, the cast has been filming since April.

Back in March, Netflix greenlit the show for two additional seasons. It first premiered in 2019 to the support of many Netflix fans who had been waiting for the streaming platform to add a reality show they could enjoy. Between Christine Quinn's outspoken and snarky remarks, Mary Fitzgerald dating her younger husband Romain Bonnet, Heather Rae Young preparing to marry Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa, Brett introducing his new girlfriend Tina, and Chrishell dating her boss, there is so much for viewers to take in. Season 4 can't come any sooner. Both Heather and Mary have admitted to falling out with Christine since wrapping up season 3.

Despite all the ladies being in attendance at Christine's wedding, it looks like her mean girl antics have pushed her work friends away. Meanwhile, Mary might get replaced as "Jason's favorite" in the office now that The Oppenheim Group co-owner is dating Chrishell. With Chrishell moving on from her divorce and last breakup with Jason, viewers will be interested in seeing how Jason was able to win her over. But with Selling Sunset production being put on pause, it looks like fans will just have to wait a little longer before digging into the new season. At least there's time to binge-watch the last three seasons.
