Romain Bonnet’s feud with Davina Potratz went on for years on Selling Sunset, and when asked to choose between her and Christine Quinn, he didn’t hesitate to pick the latter. Romain proposed to Selling Sunset star Mary Fitzgerald in season 1. When Mary showed off her sparkling ring at the Oppenheim Group office, she confessed it was moissanite, not a real diamond. Davina commented on it being fake and asked if it bothered her, which other Selling Sunset stars thought was rude.

In Selling Sunset season 2, Romain and Davina had it out during Christine’s engagement party. When Davina asked Romain why he didn’t get Mary a real diamond ring, he flipped out on her and said that people shouldn’t comment on things like that. Romain was so incensed that he insisted Davina be disinvited from his and Mary’s wedding. Since then, Davina tried to apologize to Romain, but he wanted nothing to do with her.

Romain was recently on Behind the Velvet Ropes with David Pontef, and he weighed in on his current feelings about Davina. Romain shared that he watched Selling Sunset season 5 with Mary and despite seeing “a little bit of change,” he said, “Yes, I’ve seen it. Does that change my opinion? Even if you change, it doesn’t mean that I still want you in my life.” Romain went on to say he doesn’t think he and Davina will ever be friends. When asked to choose if he’d rather be stranded on a deserted island for a week with Davina or Christine, he answered, “If I could make sure that it’s the Christine that I knew back [then], I take Christine all day long.”

Davina talks to Romain on Selling Sunset

Christine, who used to be best friends with Mary, ended their friendship when she felt Mary took Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause’s side in a spat. Romain shared with David that he and Christine used to be very good friends prior to her falling out with Mary. He recalled when Mary and Christine were living together and he would show up in pajamas and they would all get coffee together. However, he backed his wife by agreeing that Christine was wrong in her fight with Chrishell and that the real estate agent had burned all her bridges with the Oppenheim Group women.

Romain has no hard feelings against Christine, although he is less forgiving of Davina. His reasoning is that he and Christine never had any issues with each other and that he is just being supportive of Mary’s feelings. Davina, on the other hand, offended Romain to the core when she questioned his motives with Mary. Davina had also gossiped with Chrishell about Romain and Mary’s relationship, for which she tried to throw Chrishell under the bus. Romain’s beef with Davina is a lot more personal than his feelings about Christine. Despite being the recently disgraced Oppenheim Group troublemaker, Romain would definitely choose Christine over Davina.
