New details have been revealed about Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn’s massive engagement ring. The reality show star wed retired software engineer Christian Richard at the end of Selling Sunset season three.

Christine previously spoke exclusively with ScreenRant about the million-dollar sparkler on her finger. The engagement ring is one of three that she had custom-made. She also has a separate wedding band that she doesn’t wear too often, plus an everyday ring worth around $5.000. The diamond on the main ring is 20 carats, which is five times the amount of carats her friends guessed it to be. The piece from the Selling Sunset star's fiancé was made just for her by Kosa Diamonds. This jeweler designs all of her custom pieces. When discussing the ring with ScreenRant, Christine didn’t specify that the ring is a Marquise cut. She said that anyone can tell it's clearly an oval-shaped design.

Monika Kosa, Christine’s personal jeweler, opened up to Page Six about the months-long design process. Every detail was considered carefully. “From the get-go, I knew it’s wasn’t going to be a simple solitaire type of ring,” Monika told Page Six. The jeweler knew she needed to utilize only the best stones and superb workmanship to please Christine Quinn. When the Selling Sunset star approached Monika, she already had an image of what she wanted her ring to look like. “I love working with clients who know exactly what they want and challenge me,” Monika said. See Christine and her rock below:

Monika started by building unique U-shape suspension prongs to hold all of the diamonds in the ring. Christine Quinn first insisted the ring could be no less than 10 carats and internally flawless. The center diamond is a 10.76-carat oval-shaped gemstone that is flawless. Internally flawless diamonds have no visible imperfections under 10x magnification and are incredibly rare. Less than half of one percent of all diamonds in the world are graded as internally flawless. The ring features a 9.52-carat band and a .58-carat pavé set in platinum. A platinum band is the most expensive metal for wedding bands.

The second ring is slightly less elaborate. It features an “Oval Eternity” band with 13.26-carat D color, VVS clarity stones, a 12.15-carat oval, and 1.11-carat pavé set in platinum. The eternity band traditionally symbolizes neverending love and is given on a significant anniversary. However, if you’re a millionaire and can afford more than one Selling Sunset-worthy ring, why not just get it for the wedding? It took Kosa several months to collect 12 matching stones for the second ring. D color and VVS clarity stones are also incredibly rare and expensive. The band features a delicate U-shape setting. Monika feared the diamonds would easily fall out.

Christine didn’t take any chances with the rings. She provided feedback to Monika every step of the way, so the piece would be exactly how she wanted it. The two communicated over WhatsApp because Christine was either selling houses on the West Coast or jetting around the world while Monika designed the piece on the East Coast. The attention to detail paid off for Monika. Christine later requested Monika design her famous heart-shaped diamond necklace.

With all these details, it’s no wonder Christine likes to show off her massive engagement ring. Christine Quinn and her now-hubby spared no expense to make sure the materials were of the highest quality. Even though many may not notice how pristine the diamonds are, she can brag about the fact that every aspect of her ring is truly one of a kind. The only possible downside is that the rings are quite delicate and take lots of upkeep. But to a multi-millionaire, that’s not a huge concern. A rich Selling Sunset star can simply send a ring away for retouches and use a slightly simpler third ring until the glam solitaire is returned.
