Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young got engaged to her boyfriend, Tarek El Moussa! Both the actors have shared this news by posting a lovely picture on their respective Instagram accounts. The newly engaged couple were dating for about a year.
Tarek was previously married to Christina Anstead, and the couple divorced in December 2016. After three years of being single, the dad of two confirmed his relationship with Heather in August 2019. The duo met on the Fourth of July in 2019 with the help of a mutual friend. At Newport Beach, California, the realtor was partying on a boat adjacent to Tarek's. After a few weeks, they were spotted locking lips on a yacht at the Portofino Hotel & Marina in Redondo Beach, California. Selling Sunset season 2 showcases the beginning of Heather's relationship with Tarek. Her co-star Amanza Smith was worried that the couple should not involve Tarek's kids so early on in their relationship. But, it all turned out well!
On the occasion of their first anniversary, the HGTV star decided to pop the question, and the blonde bombshell said yes! Heather was completely surprised as she thought that they were going to celebrate their one-year anniversary on a boat trip to Catalina Island, California. While talking to People in an interview, the Flip or Flop star revealed that the island holds a "special place" for them. On the beach, Tarek made a path lined with flower petals and flickering candles. Heather was surprised to see her boyfriend on one knee with a beautiful diamond ring in his hand. Before the big occasion, Tarek secretly went to his girlfriend's parents and took their blessings. Heather was looking stunning in her sequined short black dress, and Tarek looked dapper in a tuxedo.
Heather has met Tarek's kids from the first marriage, and she loves being a "bonus mom" to them. He shares a daughter Taylor aged 9 and a 4-year-old son Brayden with his first wife. We watched how close Heather is to her (soon to be) step-children. In season 2, she gave preference to Taylor's birthday over showing a listing to her client and asked Amanza to cover for her!
