The Selling Sunset couple Heather Rae Young and Tarek El Moussa are reportedly open to the idea of having children together. Heather and Tarek got married on October 23, 2021. The two are looking forward to many happy years together, and Heather recently shared that a bundle of joy could be in their future.
Tarek was married to Christina Anstead in 2009, and the couple had two children before splitting up in December of 2016. They finalized their divorce shortly after. Tarek and Heather met at a Fourth of July party in 2019 and became an item soon after. The early stages of Tarek and Heather's relationship are shown in Selling Sunset season 2. Tarek popped the question as they celebrated their one-year dating anniversary while visiting Catalina Island, California. The two married 14 months later and initially did not want their wedding filmed. However, they eventually decided that they'd like Tarek's kids Taylor and Brayden to be able to see the wedding later on.
Heather had initially decided against trying to have children with Tarek, but she's had a change of heart. Heather told People that while nothing is currently set in stone regarding the expansion of their family, having a new child is not out of the question. "We don't know what's going to happen, but we're open to it," Heather said. She attributes her change of heart to her relationship with Taylor and Brayden. Tarek explained that Heather didn't spend much time with children before dating him. Since they got together, the two have been co-parenting Taylor and Brayden with Christina. Heather has been fully embracing the "mom-life."
Heather says that she has always loved Taylor and Brayden, and that love has grown very strong as she's gotten the opportunity to get to know the kids better over time. Now that she has spent so much time with the two youngsters, Heather understands the feeling of wanting a baby. She remarked, "I realize now why people want to have babies and then more babies because you see them grow up and you're like, 'No!'" Heather says she feels she "would regret it" if she didn't "create something with him, that's ours, together." While Tarek had also decided against having more children before, he now says he is also open to having another child. He clarifies that he has a great deal of love for his children, saying that he is "obsessed" with his kids and "would never regret" having more kids with Heather.
Given that Heather is already the stepmother (or "bonus mom") of two, there's no rush for Tarek and Heather to expand their happy family. It's certainly a big step to take together, but the Selling Sunset pair are also no strangers to moving quickly. They've gone through multiple relationship milestones within the first few years of knowing one another. Helping to raise stepchildren is never an easy task, but Heather's enthusiasm and love for Taylor and Brayden go a long way. Having the El Moussas as parents is all that a new baby could ever ask for. Regardless of whether or not Heather and Tarek decide to have another child, it is clear that the two have a very happy family together, and many more joyful years ahead of them.
