It’s confirmed that HGTV’s Flip or Flop star, Tarek El Moussa will be on the next season of Selling Sunset. The celebrity real estate investor has been romantically involved with The Oppenheim Group’s Heather Rae Young since last summer, but has never made an appearance on the show due to his contract with HGTV. However, now that the two are engaged, contracts have been re-negotiated. Here’s what we know about Tarek El Moussa’s upcoming appearance on Selling Sunset season four.
As fans finally got to catch up with their favorites from Netflix’s Selling Sunset by binge-watching the recently released season three, there is already talk about when the next season will drop and – more importantly – who the show will revolve around. Season three highlighted Chrishell Stause and Justin Hartley’s shocking divorce, but we have a feeling the cast members have better news to share in upcoming seasons, especially when it comes to Heather Rae Young. She has been one of the show's favorites and is always the first to talk lovingly about her relationship with HGTV’s Flip or Flop star, Tarek El Moussa. Since season two, she has been totally head-over-heels about El Moussa, but viewers never got to see the couple together on camera. El Moussa has been working with HGTV for years and, because of a conflicting contract with the two networks, he has been unable to appear on the show — until now!
Heather recently appeared on BuzzFeed Celeb, where the reality star revealed new details about the conflicting contracts. Heather explained it all came down to their engagement being filmed by HGTV. She said, "[HGTV] filmed our engagement. You know, I didn't know that they were filming the proposal, obviously. I thought they were just filming more content to get our episode to an hour. That's what [Tarek] told me."
But the decision to film the engagement was just the ticket El Moussa needed to earn a spot on Selling Sunset. Heather went on to explain, “Because they got to film the engagement, Netflix and HGTV came to an agreement that Tarek is allowed to film an episode with me next season." Of course, the star is thrilled to film with her new fiancé. "I'm so excited to have him on camera with me and film with him," she said. "We have so much fun together, and we love filming together."
So, it looks like fans will finally get a glimpse of the inner workings of Heather Rae Young and Tarek El Moussa’s relationship. Now, if only we could figure out when the next season will be aired. Stay tuned!
