Netflix has finally released a first look of the Oppenheim Group agents set to star on Selling The OC, but Selling Sunset fans aren't too impressed with the upcoming show based on its teaser trailer. The spin-off of The Oppenheim Group's brokerage in West Hollywood will feature its secondary office in Newport Beach, with the upcoming 11 agents being Alex Hall, Alexandra Jarvis, Alexandra Rose, Austin Victoria, Brandi Marshall, Gio Helou, Kayla Cardona, Lauren Brito, Polly Brindle, Sean Palmieri, and Tyler Stanaland.

After months of anticipation, Netflix dropped a two-minute trailer for Selling The OC upon the conclusion of Selling Sunset season 5 on May 6. Between partying in a dark nightclub, enjoying time on the beach, and hanging out on a yacht, Selling The OC's trailer features sound clips that indicate that the cast doesn't seem to get along. One shot shows Kayla confronting someone for calling her a "f***** b****" before Polly accuses another Oppenheim realtor of scoring a listing by being intimate with the developer. Some luxury Southern California listings are also shown in wide shots, which give a peek at what homes fans should expect to see.

While some fans have been expressing their excitement online, many think that Selling The OC plans to focus too much on drama and forced conflict than the agents' actual careers in real estate. Many comments on the official YouTube video for the trailer criticize the amount of drama between the realtors, with several users calling the group "unprofessional" and "trashy." Some have even accused Selling The OC of being scripted based on the teaser, which echoes the same previous accusations made against Selling Sunset. Regardless, the majority of Selling Sunset and Selling Tampa viewers are primarily interested in seeing the realtors sell beautifully-expensive mansions. With Selling The OC's trailer almost-exclusively dominated by incoming fights, accusations, and arguments, many are concerned that the show will stray away from what attracted viewers in the first place.

In addition, Selling Sunset fans unimpressed by the Selling The OC trailer are wary about the Oppenheim Group agents chosen for the series. Reddit user u/Prestigous_Owl is one of many that think the new agents were cast specifically to curate drama instead of highlighting their real estate skills. While the hypothesis that Selling Sunset is nearing the end isn't as popular, especially as Selling Sunset has been renewed through season 7, several users agree that Netflix may be aiming to market Selling The OC to a younger crowd. Reddit user u/LuvIsLov commented, "Everyone knows most of the women in [Selling Sunset] are in their early 40's and the OC crew all look like they barely graduated High School. Selling OC looks like Jersey Shore meets Laguna Hills."

While Selling The OC will definitely rake in views once it premieres on Netflix, the Selling Sunset spin-off has a lot to prove to the show's dedicated fans. Early seasons of Selling Sunset have been praised for focusing on real estate, and many are hoping that Netflix keeps the focus of the show in mind. Selling The OC is expected to premiere later this year, and streaming users are eagerly awaiting to compare the reality show to its successful predecessor.
