Selling Sunset newbie Emma Hernan admitted that she won't be rekindling a friendship with Christine Quinn. She didn’t necessarily have a bad first season on the hit Netflix show, despite her troubled relationship with OG Christine, which made for a drama-filled fourth season of the show. To thank for the plotting between the ladies is their ex Peter Cornell, whom Emma and Christine were rumored to have shared. Although Christine kept it cordial whenever they encountered each other, Emma did seem like she didn’t want to be alone in the room with Christine or exchange more than “How are you?” Although Emma might be a “newbie” on Selling Sunset, she used to work for The Oppenheim Group prior and knows all the other ladies privately. However, it still came in like a bomb when Christine found out Emma would be her replacement while she was on maternity leave.

The two real estate agents go far back, though many viewers don’t know the entire backstory, only up to the point where the two were dating the same guy, whom Christine claimed she was engaged to. Both ladies shared quite different distant memories on the show of what has happened regarding their ex, and fans of Selling Sunset didn’t know who or what to believe. However, it didn’t take long until fans and castmates questioned Christine’s engagement story, as Christine shared that Peter proposed to her and that the two were still together when he started seeing Emma.

Emma told E! News recently that she won't be rekindling a friendship with Christine, explaining that they're "just too opposite." She went on to say, "If you could pick two more opposite people in the entire world, that would be the two of us. We're on two completely different ends of the spectrum and I've tried for so long." Although Emma came to the show “like a rocket,” she mentioned that she wasn’t quite sure she would join Selling Sunset because of the whole shared-ex situation with Christine. “That that was my hesitation, for sure, with joining,” she said. I didn't really want to have to deal with that because I've dealt with it for so long, for so many years, with such negative energy.”

That hesitation changed quickly when Emma saw that other cast members were casting Christine to be the villain, the one everybody loves to hate. After Christine told her side of the story, Emma shared that Peter wasn’t with Christine anymore and was never engaged to her, instead asking Emma to marry him. Emma eventually went with the offer to be on the show, as it appeared to be a good chance for her to shine. “It was an opportunity for me to go out there and show everything that I've accomplished on my own as a woman entrepreneur. I've worked really hard my entire life,” Emma added.

It seems like Selling Sunset season 5 will be juicy. As Emma and fellow castmate--and new bestie--Chrishell Stause grew closer, Christine seemed more alienated from her co-workers than ever, looking at how season 4 unfolded. Fans might also be wondering if Emma is still with Peter or if she’s dating anyone else; she is currently single. Christine is probably happy to hear that information, despite the fact that she moved on with her husband, Christian Richard, and their first baby boy, Christian Georges Dumontet. Fans of Selling Sunset might not know what will come in season 5 of the show, which is planned to air around spring 2022, but they can be certain that Christine and Emma won’t suddenly turn into besties.
