With the year Chrishell Stause of Selling Sunset has had, it's hard to ruffle the realtor's feathers. Although, when it comes to her real estate credentials, including her license, she's not about to sit back and take the abuse, even if fans don't believe her. She had much to say on the topic on her Instagram story.

The cast has already been in hot water over this Selling Sunset controversy. While the cast, both on and off the show, work super-hard to sell lavish homes and earn commissions for The Oppenheim Group and themselves, there has been speculation that they don't have the right real estate credentials. Chrissy Teigen, who is a model, and the wife of music superstar John Legend, speculated shortly after binging the series that none of the ladies were actually in the real estate game. Teigen says she has a vast knowledge of Los Angeles real estate and yet had never heard of any of the ladies before. This was the first time that Stause and her fellow co-workers had to defend themselves. Stause is taking the high road and attempting to actually sell Teigen a house.

As reported by Yahoo! StyleStause initially started her career in the spotlight as one of the leading soap opera stars. She portrayed characters on such daytime dramas as All My Children, Days of Our Lives, and The Young and the Restless. Her past career choices led fans to wonder if she was cast in the show not for real estate experience, but for her acting skills. Is she there to stir up trouble and cause more dramatic story arcs? Some fans think so, but Stause, as quick-witted as she is, has fired right back. Taking to her Instagram story, Stause shared a four-year-old post about her joining a new brokerage. This was added to provide a small amount of proof of her pre-Selling Sunset involvement in the industry. Along with the post, she added these words, just so everyone was clear on where she stands: "People keep trying to hate on the show, which means it's a huge success! Lol!" She then added: "This post is still on my IG proving I have been licensed and working before being approached about #SellingSunset." Finally, Chrishell Stause poured the salt on by adding, "Working all day showing clients properties in the heat & writing up my new listing to hit the market tomorrow! Busy! Thanks for watching though."

It's not just Stause making these claims...the owner of the Oppenheim Group, Jason Oppenheim, has also chimed in on her credentials, stating, "Chrishell was a practicing agent at another brokerage, many years previous to filming Selling Sunset,"

In the end, it's all about the facts! Stause clearly was a realtor before Selling Sunset. If she really wanted to, she could probably pull legal documents about her license into play, but given all the other information, it seems unnecessary. Between the Selling Sunset star's Instagram history and colleagues who can personally vouch for her (along with the money and transaction records), it's hard to dispute her credentials. Hopefully this "bad press" gets her some amazing clients.
