Fans of the Netflix smash hit Selling Sunset can expect to see some new faces when the show returns for season 4, which is set to premiere later this year. This real estate reality series chronicles the dealings of California-based realty brokerage The Oppenheim Group and its glamazon real estate brokers who make up the show’s cast. Ahead of the series’ long-awaited return, fan-favorite Chrishell Stause teased that the new additions to the cast are already turning up the heat.

Stause, who recently brokered the purchase of a $3.3 million Hollywood Hills home, was a newcomer to The Oppenheim Group when Selling Sunset first premiered on Netflix in 2019. Now, the upcoming fourth season is set to introduce two new stars to the show’s cast, Emma Hernan, 29, and telenovela star turned real estate broker Vanessa Villela, 43. The All My Children alum says that she felt it was her responsibility to “help pass the baton” to the fresh faces.

Chrishell Stause has now shared that the new stars have certainly shaken things up since their introduction to the icy crew on Selling Sunset, calling the newcomers “really great.”  Speaking with Us Weekly, the 39-year-old Kentucky native shared, “They are in different stages in their real estate [careers] and obviously, it definitely stirs the pot a little bit. But I will say they’re really lovely.” With that said, Chrishell remarked that one can never be sure how the fans will react to these two new cast members. All things considered, however, she does enjoy working with both Emma and Vanessa.

The series' long-awaited season 4 return was delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions, which Stause asserted was actually a good thing. “I know we’re a little behind schedule because, obviously, the year that we had. I don’t think it would have served the show to do it in a lockdown situation [when] our show was all about being out and about,” Chrishell shared. The year-long delay saw Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn, whose wedding was featured in the season 3 finale, welcome a son, Christian. Fellow co-star Heather Rae Young also became engaged to her beau, Flip or Flop star Tarek El-Moussa.

It’s clear that fans of Selling Sunset will have plenty of drama to catch up on when the fourth installment of the show premieres later this year. Production on the new season is currently underway. While Stause is currently focused on filming, she teased eager fans that the long wait will definitely be worth it.
