Selling The OC finally debuted with eight episodes on August 24 after months of anticipation, but viewers tuning into Netflix's Selling Sunset spin-off have been less-than-impressed after calling out cast members for bullying. Unlike the similar show Selling Tampa, which focuses on Allure Reality in Florida, Selling Sunset and Selling The OC follows Jason Oppenheim and his brokerage The Oppenheim Group. With offices located in Los Angeles and Newport Beach, respectively, Selling The OC features eight new Oppenheim Group realtors as they attempt to secure listings and sell million-dollar proprieties along the southern California coast.

As a spin-off of Selling Sunset, Selling The OC naturally has several things in common with its original series. Both shows give fans a close-up look at some of the fanciest houses that can be found in California. In addition, both shows provide some in-depth information as to how selling property works, including the breakdowns of commissions, listing prices, and specific Selling Sunset real estate terms used. And, of course, Selling The OC features its fair share of drama between its cast members, although Jason appears to take more of a backseat and remain as professional as possible.

Unfortunately for the realtors featured on Selling The OC, those tuning into the show quickly found themselves unimpressed with much of the cast for their apparent bullying tactics. Many fans in the Reddit thread started by u/Powerful_Ticket_4548, specifically called out Alex Hall, Polly Brindle, and Kayla Cardona's belittlement of Alexandra Jarvis and Alexandra Rose. While Christine Quinn is known among fans as the classy villain of Selling Sunset, Alex, Polly, and Kayla's attitude towards Jarvis and Rose have labeled them as not just Selling The OC villains but plain bullies. Between outcasting Jarvis, a Selling The OC fan-favorite, and Rose for no reason, yelling at them when forced to communicate, and belittling them during an Oppenheim Group staff meeting, those tuning into Selling The OC have compared Alex, Polly, and Kayla to "gross mean girls," who make Christine look "like a puppy."

While Selling The OC viewers are primarily unhappy with Jarvis and Rose's harsh treatment throughout the first season, Redditors discussing the show online are also unimpressed with how Alex, Polly, and Kayla interacted with some of their male co-workers. In particular, the three women have been criticized for how they talk to and behave around Gio Helou and Tyler Stanaland. While Tyler, who is married to actress Brittany Snow, has been called out for being "spineless" and not setting professional boundaries with Kayla, her attempts to kiss Tyler was instantly dragged by viewers and her fellow Oppenheim Group agents alike. In another scene involving the women that rubbed Selling The OC fans the wrong way, Gio was talked down to by Alex during a beach day, with users calling her abrasive attitude "manipulative" and "instigative."

Although fans of Selling Sunset were anxiously awaiting the debut of Selling The OC, most of the Oppenheim Group cast members have failed to make a good impression on viewers. With all the drama between the realtors overshadowing the luxurious Newport Beach proprieties featured throughout Selling The OC season 1, viewers are already wondering if the reality series will feature a reunion episode. In addition, Netflix has yet to announce whether its newest spin-off series will be renewed for another season. Luckily, Selling Sunset seasons 6 and 7 will return with more expensive home tours and Oppenheim Group relationships in store.
