Even though Vanessa and her family embraced sharing their plural marriage on Seeking Sister Wife's first two seasons, they opted out of the third entry to the franchise, which aired this past year. On Seeking Sister Wife, Vanessa welcomed viewers into her unconventional family. Vanessa is married to Jeff Alldredge, who has another wife, Sharis. In addition to Vanessa and Sharis, Jeff had another family with a wife and several children. Unfortunately, that marriage fell through and Jeff was going through a breakup during the time of his first season on reality TV. Jeff's former family did not have any interest in following Vanessa, Sharis, and Jeff on their TV journey, which is why many fans are unaware of their existence. Without Jeff's former family, Vanessa and Sharis are mothers to seven children.
Even though Seeking Sister Wife differs from Sister Wives, the two are linked through Vanessa. Sister Wives star Kody Brown leads a massive household with four wives and 18 kids. Kody's daughter, Aspyn Brown, ended up marrying Vanessa's brother, Mitch Thomson. The Alldredge's and the Brown's run in similar circles and have attended the same church, so it is not as crazy of a coincidence as fans might perceive it to be. Although Mitch's sister and his other in-laws are famous for their polygamist lifestyle, he and Aspyn have not indicated that they intend to start a plural marriage of their own. Because of Vanessa's family tie to the Browns, the Alldredges have become family friends with the gaggle of Sister Wives stars.
In the years that Vanessa and Sharis have stayed with Jeff, they have been eager to expand their family. When Vanessa's family introduced themselves during the debut of Seeking Sister Wife, they were already on the hunt for a third wife. Vanessa is a fierce supporter of the polygamist lifestyle. She believes that plural marriages are beneficial because they help balance out a family dynamic. Vanessa shared, "Because there's three of us, if one of us is down, there's the other two who can step in and keep the family going and support the children." Vanessa admits that jealousy is human and does take place in her plural marriage from time to time, but she tries to see Jeff's relationship with Sharis differently. Vanessa explains that looking at Sharis as her friend makes it easier to "want the best for her, too."
Unfortunately, Vanessa and the Alldredge family experienced a marriage fallout in June 2021. Vanessa, Sharis, and Jeff welcomed Donna into their plural marriage in Summer 2020, but she has parted from the family less than a year after her addition. Vanessa's family broke the news on their Facebook page. In addition to being active on Facebook, Vanessa can be found on Instagram at @vanessaalldredge, where she has 2,158 followers and exactly 100 posts. Unfortunately, Vanessa is not as active on IG as she could be as her latest post was a photo from Jeff and Donna's wedding last Summer.

It seems like Vanessa understands the pros of leading a polygamist lifestyle and enjoys spending time with her abundant family.
