In the beginning, Sidian and Tosha came across as a healthier example of what polygamy could be, with the duo focusing on raising their children in a loving plural family. However, it was shortly after the end of season 3 that the couple's dark secrets were revealed to fans, quickly ruining their reputation among viewers.
During Seeking Sister Wife season 3, Sidian and Tosha Jones were looking to add to their family of five, and began courting Alexandra, a potential sister wife that Sidian met online. Ultimately, Alexandra just wasn't interested in settling down and becoming a mother to Sidian's trio of children, so she left the couple. Although they were unable to make Alexandra their sister wife, they returned for Seeking Sister Wife season 4, and set their sights on a beauty queen, Arielle Jazmine Roque, from the Philippines. Sidian and Arielle hit it off immediately, and it wasn’t long after they met that Sidian proposed to her. While Arielle’s visa issues continue to loom over the couple, it doesn’t seem like that has weakened their bond too much. However, despite the polygamous couple's newfound love, Seeking Sister Wife fans are still skeptical about Sidian and Tosha Jones' relationship and lifestyle. Fans have been quick to point out the numerous lies that the couple has told while on the show. Viewers are now calling them out for that.
Tosha Jones' Past Arrest
In 2016, Seeking Sister Wife star Tosha Jones was arrested, and charged with a felony. According to Starcasm (the publication obtained court documents from the case), the theft charge was the result of Tosha taking a man’s laptop in November 2015. The laptop was valued at over $1,000, resulting in the felony charge. The man in question was Tosha’s roommate at the time. After cutting a plea deal, she was found guilty of misdemeanor petit theft, given a suspended sentence, and placed on unsupervised probation. While Tosha's charges were eventually dismissed shortly after she completed her probation, many Seeking Sister Wife fans consider this to be the first major red flag with the Jones family.
Sidian & Tosha’s Strained Relationship With Sidian’s First Wife
Before appearing on Seeking Sister Wife, Sidian was in a monogamous relationship with his first wife, Jennie “Lavandulou” Dschaak. According to Sidian, Jennie was accepting of his choice to become polygamous after more than a decade together, and wanted to bring Tosha into the marriage. Tosha was Sidian’s co-worker at the time. Jennie revealed her truth in the comment section of a video at the Tracie Trendy Show YouTube channel, alleging that the polygamous couple mistreated, threatened, and abused her. She said they also displayed manipulative tendencies towards her and her children. Additionally, Jennie denied Sidian’s claims about her willingness to be in a polygamous relationship with himself and Tosha, which made fans of Seeking Sister Wife wonder if the Jones’ could be trusted.
Sidian’s Ongoing Custody Battle
Not only did Sidian’s first wife call out the polygamous couple for allegedly lying about her role in their plural relationship, but Jennie also shed some light on the ongoing custody battle between her and Sidian. Jennie and Sidian share two children together, Liliam and Tyrion, and have been embroiled in a heated custody battle for several years now. According to Jennie, Sidian and Tosha decided to move their kids seven hours away from her, limiting how much she would be able to see her children, and showing little regard for her in the matter. Sidian currently has full custody of their kids, after Jennie lost her job, car, and home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Seeking Sister Wife fans are hoping that Sidian and his former wife can work out their issues for the sake of their children, but it doesn’t seem like that will happen anytime soon.
