Secret Invasion merchandise reveals Nick Fury's new look for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe show. The Disney+ series is set to focus on everyone's favorite SHIELD agent, played by Samuel L. Jackson, along with his new Skrull ally, Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), as the two must combat a faction of the shape-shifting aliens who have infiltrated all aspects of life on Earth. Based on the Marvel Comics storyline of the same name, the Secret Invasion series was created and written principally by Mr. Robot's Kyle Bradstreet.

Other than Jackson and Mendelsohn, Secret Invasion will also see the return of Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, and Don Cheadle as Rhodey. Academy Award winner Olivia Colman joins the MCU as an old ally of Fury's, while One Night in Miami's Kingsley Ben-Adir has been cast as the lead villain. Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo have also been cast in undisclosed roles. The first look at Nick Fury in Secret Invasion was revealed roughly a year ago and now another preview of his new and improved MCU costume is here.

Shared by the official Funko Twitter account, some new Secret Invasion merchandise provides a fresh look at Nick Fury's updated costume for the upcoming MCU show. The limited edition Funko POP, which is part of an October-themed "Frightmare on Fun Street" campaign, will be made available in honor of New York Comic-Con next month. Over his many years in the MCU, Nick Fury's black eye patch has become an iconic part of Jackson's Marvel character. However, if this new Funko POP is faithful to the show, it appears Fury will be ditching his signature eye patch for Secret Invasion, replaced by a lighter adhesive marked with an "X." In terms of his overall costume, the new Nick Fury Funko is still sporting his signature leather jacket and his grizzled beard appears to match the first footage released during last year's Disney+ Day event.

At this past San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced that Secret Invasion will premiere in Spring 2023 as the first MCU series of Phase 5. With Marvel now starting to roll out official Funko merchandise for the series, perhaps they are preparing to release the first Secret Invasion trailer, possibly at this weekend's D23 Expo. The series will be Marvel's next to premiere after She-Hulk, so the marketing campaign is bound to ramp up any day now.
