Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is full of entertaining side-quests that Eivor can complete while venturing through England and Norway. Marked by blue lights on the mini-map, these quests will range from Flyting challenges to 'follow me' missions. Players will have to pay attention because there won't be any map markers once the quest is started.  Most of them are relatively easy. Finding the secret cat companion is the easiest of all.

Everyone could use a pet, and Vikings are no exception. Players can interact with different animals throughout the game. There's even a set of legendary wild-cats Eivor will have to best. Another side-quest near Grantebridgescire will have Eivor release a house full of cats to get rid of problematic rodent infestation (not that a rodent infestation could NOT be problematic). This, however, is not the quest players are looking for. Here is a quick walkthrough on how to get the cat companion in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.

Where to find the Cat Companion in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Players will want to venture to East Angelina and find Norwich, an island town by the East coast. Thankfully, East Angelina is a power level 55 area and, by now, players should be able to make mincemeat of any Saxons they encounter. Norwich offers a handful of quests and activities for players to do. It is here that Eivor will find the cat companion. Below the Flyting challenge will be a blue side-quest.

Talk to the Cat in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Speak to Cat

Yes... talk to the cat. No, it's not a magical talking cat that sends you on another drug-induced trip. It's just a cat. It'll run away, and a Saxon-Child will approach Eivor. The child will inform Eivor that the cat has been giving them problems since the ship captain's passing. The Child will chase the cat, and Eivor should follow. Simply interacting with the cat again will impress the child and finish the quest. From here, fast-travel back to the Longship where Eivor's new cat companion will be nestled. It's right under the spot Eivor stands while commanding the longship. Even after beating the game, Eivor can freely travel around with a newfound friend to uncover further secrets together.

While there's no real 'bonus' to having the cat on Eivor's longship, players can revel in the fact that they have a new pet. While the cat may not be as visually stimulating as Eivor's wolf mount, it's still a pleasure to have. Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is full of fun bonuses and easter eggs. There's even been a few references to popular meme culture as one NPC flashes the Arthur fist meme. Players will continue to explore this massive game and uncover such findings. There's no telling what the future expansions will add as well.
