Resource Crates are a valuable set of items players can find in Sea of Thieves. This guide will show players where to find them and explain what they are used for. Sea of Thieves has been around for a few years and continues to receive new content for its players to enjoy. Players will explore the vast ocean with good friends by their side as they take on enemy pirates, discover treasure, and explore hidden islands. Back in January, the game introduced a seasonal system that provides players with new challenges that will give the player neat rewards. One of the resources players will come across is the Crates. This guide will show players how they can find them and explain what they do.

For starters, Resource Creates are used to deliver, store, and haul resource items that can later be sold to Merchants for Gold and Reputation. These resources consist of Fruit, Fish, Meat, Cannonballs, and more. Players can throw them all together into a Resource Crate to increase their value. The better the stuff on the inside, the more loot the player will get in return. This guide will show players where they can find them.

Where To Find Resource Crates in Seas of Thieves

The Fort of Fortune rare world event marker for Sea of Thieves

In order to find Empty Reouces Crates, players can pick them up from Merchant Alliance Senior Trader NPC around Outposts if the crew has an active Merchant Contract with a Resource Craft delivery order. These can be found from taking on bottle quests. Alternatively, the game has special crates with different purposes that players can find. For example, Ghostly Crates can only be found from defeating Ghost Ships. If players are interested in earning a ton of gold, then turning your old materials into the Resource Crates and turning it in is the way to go.

Sea of Thieves allows players to live out their pirate fantasies with a good crew by their side. This has been one of those games that have pushed players towards the Xbox brand. Titles like Halo and Gears of War were fairly comfortable with being the only system seller for the console but Sea of Thieves has found its own community of players who enjoy it. It will be interesting to see if the game will continue to receive annual updates or if they decide to create a sequel. Regardless, Sea of Thieves is one of the best pirate-themed titles out there.
