Marvel's Comic-Con 2022 panels are a potential source of serious excitement for audiences. Marvel Studios will finally be returning to this year's San Diego Comic-Con, following an announcement from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige during a Thor: Love and Thunder press conference. Almost everything that Marvel announced at 2019's SDCC Hall H panel has now been released, and audiences are clamoring to see what the MCU has in store for the rest of Phase 4 and beyond.

While some upcoming projects are currently in post-production, such as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, little is known about these movies' plots. New characters have also been announced, such as Blade and Deadpool, but not much is known about these projects so far, let alone their release dates. As the MCU superhero roster keeps expanding, so too does its content slate. Here's everything that's known about Marvel's SDCC presentation, and what they might announce.

What Marvel Movies & TV Shows To Expect At Comic-Con 2022

Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan and John Krasinski as Reed Richards in the MCU

Some details have already been announced regarding Marvel's animation panel, which will provide exclusive looks at X-Men '97, Marvel Zombies, What If...? season 2, and more. X-Men '97 is a continuation of the popular '90s animated show X-Men: The Animated Series, which was first announced during Disney+ Day in 2021 and will likely release in 2023. What If...? season 2 will continue its exploration of the Multiverse, and further plot information will likely be revealed during the panel. Like X-Men '97, Marvel Zombies was also announced during 2021's Disney+ Day. The series will be based on a limited 5-issue comic run by Robert Kirkman. It is currently unclear whether the storyline from What If...?'s fifth episode, "What If...Zombies?!" will be carried over for this show.

Some big announcements and reveals are expected for Marvel Studios' Hall H panel. Trailers and first look details for upcoming movies such as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and The Marvels are likely, as all four films are currently believed to be in post-production. New images might be shown for Mahershala Ali's reboot of Blade, which is currently in pre-production and was teased in Eternals' post-credits scene. Another big announcement could see the cast of the MCU's Fantastic Four join Kevin Feige on stage. The Fantastic Four movie was officially announced in December 2020. John Krasinski's multiversal cameo as Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teased a fan-favorite casting. John Watts was set to direct until he dropped out of the project last April, so the reveal of a new director for the MCU's Fantastic Four could happen during the Hall H panel as well. New looks at some confirmed and upcoming Disney+ shows are likely to be included during the panel too, such as She-Hulk and Secret Invasion.

Will Marvel Studios Announce New Movies At SDCC?

X-Men MCU announcement

Though Marvel may announce brand new titles at Hall H as well - perhaps even the official arrival of Mutants in the MCU - eager audiences shouldn't expect everything to be laid out during SDCC. Disney's D23 Expo is scheduled for September, and it is unlikely Marvel will reveal everything up its sleeve beforehand. D23 will undoubtedly feature far more extensive announcements for the Disney+ side of the MCU, including first looks at Loki season 2, which is currently filming, as well as further announcements for Echo and Agatha: House of Harkness, and new titles that have yet to be announced. D23 will possibly feature the full MCU Phase 4 and perhaps even Phase 5 slate and timeline, which might include new movies that audiences can only dream of right now. In any case, the future of Marvel's Cinematic Universe looks brighter and more expansive than ever before.
