Wonder Woman & Aquaman Get Exclusive SDCC Funko Toys

Funko announces Wonder Woman, Aquaman and more Pop! figures exclusively available at 2017 San Diego Comic Con this summer.

DC Comics' Wonder Woman and Aquaman are both getting adorable Funko Pop! makeovers for Comic-Con International in San Diego this summer. Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman has taken the world by storm with everyone from Captain Marvel star Brie Larson and Oprah Winfrey, who celebrated Wonder Woman day by holding a party for 10-year-olds, to Marvel's biggest stars praising the superhero film. Aquaman is also getting some hype with photos surfacing of Amber Heard's character Mera and news that Nicole Kidman has arrived to shoot her scenes as Queen Atlanna.

With the success of Wonder Woman and Aquaman just around the corner, it's no surprise that both movies will have a big presence at this year's San Diego Comic-Con - at least in terms of merchandise available to fans.

Funko has created some new superhero Pop! figurines to get ready for SDCC being held July 20 - July 23 at the San Diego Convention Center. One of the stand-out Pops! from this collection is the new silvery Ares figurine from Wonder Woman that looks just an intimidating as he did in the film during his big fight with Diana Prince (Gadot).

Another Wonder Woman set being made available for the SDCC is a two-pack of Diana in her training gear from the beginning of the film equipped with her shield before she becomes Wonder Woman and a more happier looking sliver Ares standing besides her. As far as Aquaman Pop! figures go, Funko has created a special Aquaman figurine that stands tall in a green and gold armored outfit with star Jason Momoa's signature scruffy beard and long hair to complete the look. Take a look at the new Wonder Woman and Aquaman Funko Pops! that will be available for SDCC in the gallery below:

Along with these new Pops! there will also be a new Joker figurine inspired by DC's Suicide Squad, a Justice League Bruce Wayne figurine complete in a suit holding a Batman throwing star, a Pop! Heroes Blue Chrome Batman, a Pop! Heroes Batman: The Animated Series – Man Bat figurine, a Pop! Heroes Interplanetary Batman, a Pop! Heroes Wonder Twin 3-pack set, a Dorbz Classic Nightwing & Deathstroke 2-pack set and a Red Batmobile with Green Batman action figure.

Wonder Woman tells the origin story of Diana Prince who grew up on an island that was home to the Amazons, half-god warrior women. When an American pilot named Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) crashes into the ocean, Diana saves him and learns about the harsh reality of World War I, which is raging beyond the isolated paradise of Themyscira. With help from Steve, Diana leaves her home determined to stop the war and the god Ares, becoming Wonder Woman in the process.

The upcoming DC Comics film Aquaman is due in theaters late in 2018 and its tells the story of Arthur Curry aka Aquaman, King of the Seven Seas and Leader of Atlantis, who is caught between the surface world constantly ravaging the seas and Atlanteans looking to lash out in revolt.
