Scrubs was a wildly popular show in its time, giving audiences quite a few good laughs during its eight-season run. It was a nine-season run actually, except many fans would agree that the last season shouldn't really count. Regardless, there was a lot to love about Scrubs during its run.

One aspect of the show that especially resonated with viewers was the cast of characters. While very silly at times, many of them also felt very relatable. On a surface level, that can be said about the main character, J.D. Despite his lovable nature, J.D. did many horrible things throughout the show's run. Here are the ten worst things J.D. ever did, ranked.

Stringing Danni Along

When J.D. began to date Jordan's sister, it was quite clear that she was in love with him. In fact, she was the first to say "I love you," doing so very early on in the relationship. Danni was at a rough patch in her life, and the stability of a relationship with J.D. really helped her remain steady.

Despite knowing that he didn't love her back, J.D. decided to remain in the relationship. J.D. actually thought it would be best to break up with her, but decided to stay in it for the sex. It's hard to get much lower than that. J.D. strung Danni along for quite some time, all the while knowing that he loved Elliot much more than he would ever love Danni.

Sleeping With Neena Broderick

A malpractice lawyer who has a shady reputation around Sacred Heart, Neena Broderick was perhaps one of the worst girlfriends J.D. ever had. The problem was, he knew how bad she was and he dated her anyway.

Even worse than that, Neena was in the process of suing Turk for malpractice while the two were together. For a second, J.D. decided that he should take the high road and break up with Neena in order to back up his best friend. It was only a second, however. It only took a quick, few seductive words from Neena for J.D. to decided to remain with her and betray his best friend.

Leaves Kim Hanging

JD raising his eyebrows in Scrubs

After having a long discussion between Kim and J.D. of whether to terminate her pregnancy, Kim decides to do so without letting J.D. know. They then decide to part ways amicably. Sometime later, J.D. runs into Kim at a medical conference and is surprised to find that she is pregnant with his child.

Hoping to talk things out with him, Kim asks J.D. to wait for her at the bar. Instead of working things out with the mother of his soon to be child, J.D. stands her up and heads back home.

Tells Kim He Doesn't Love Her, During Birth

After talking, the two soon to be parents decided to get back together. Kim was under the impression that J.D. was in love with her again. It was apparent that her feelings for him were still strong, and he gave her no reason to suspect otherwise.

Then, on the night of the delivery, J.D. told Kim that he was only with her for the sake of the child. He told her that he didn't love her. This was definitely something he should have done long before the birth of his child or at least not during the actual delivery when Kim needed support.

Showing Up To Work Drunk

When their friend from college decides to visit, J.D. and Turk decide to let loose a little. All the restrictions of hospital life have them wishing for a little adventure. So they have a few drinks.

The only problem was, the two doctors were on call. After getting called in to Sacred Heart, Dr. Cox detects the scent of alcohol on their breaths. Furious, as he should be, Cox sends them both home, telling J.D. and Turk they aren't fit for work.

Kissing Carla

Hoping to convince Carla to stop being so hard on Turk, J.D. takes her out for a few drinks. At the end of the night, both wasted and on the floor, the two of them make a huge mistake.

Without thinking, J.D. kisses Carla. While she did reciprocate, this was nonetheless a horrible move, and a betrayal of his best friend's trust.

Betraying Carla's Trust

In the episode My Big Mouth, Carla trusts J.D. with some of her deepest secrets. This was a big moment for the two of them, and their friendship grew closer than it had ever been.

That was true momentarily at least. Not too long later, J.D. turned around and revealed all of Carla's secrets. This was a total betrayal of Carla's trust, and although she eventually forgave him, this was something she would never forget.

T.C.W.

Hooking up with T.C.W. is definitely one of the worst things J.D. ever did. T.C.W. stands for Tasty Coma Wife, an attractive woman whose husband was in a coma. After becoming close to T.C.W., J.D. decided to go out with her.

After her husband died, J.D. and T.C.W. officially started dating. They didn't give any respect to his passing and even had sex in the closet at the poor man's funeral. His body wasn't even cold yet.

Golfing on the Roof

In "My Karma," the sixteenth episode of Scrubs Season 2, J.D. and Turk are playing golf on the roof when they hit a ball into traffic, causing an accident. Doing this was very obviously dangerous and irresponsible. Despite this, J.D. continued to hit balls off the roof hoping to have some fun.

Over the course of the episode, J.D. and Turk's guilt is getting to them. So, they eventually decide to come clean. It turns out that the accident actually wasn't their fault, but they were being incredibly reckless regardless.

Changing His Mind About Elliot

In a big gesture, J.D. tells Elliot he loves her and convinces her to leave her boyfriend and the rest of her life behind to be with him. Elliot was taking a big risk in being with J.D., and they both knew it.

Shortly after he finally gets his girl, J.D. realized he didn't actually want her anymore. John Dorian was acting like a child, and it seemed like he only wanted what he couldn't have. Elliot was crushed, and their relationship was fractured for quite some time.
