Original Scream cast members Skeet Ulrich, Matthew Lillard, and Jamie Kennedy have just reunited more than two and a half decades after the premiere of the seminal 1996 slasher film. Ulrich and Lillard played Billy and Stu, the troubled teens who first put on the iconic Ghostface costume and began hunting down fellow teens to recreate some of their favorite horror films while seeking revenge for a past injustice. Kennedy played Randy Meeks, a horror-obsessed video store clerk who advised the other kids on how best to survive a slasher.

On his official Instagram account, Ulrich shared a story showing himself, Lillard, and Kennedy reuniting just one week before the premiere of the sequel Scream 6.

What Original Scream Cast Members Will Be Returning for Scream 6?

Gale points her gun up while speaking to Ghostface in Scream 6

The upcoming New York City-set sequel Scream 6, which is coming to theaters on March 10, has been teasing a killer who is deeply connected to Ghostface killers of the past, including wearing what seems to be an original mask. However, so far the only original cast member that has been confirmed to return is Courteney Cox as reporter Gale Weathers. Gale is the only member of the core 3 to return after David Arquette's Dewey was killed in Scream 2022 and Neve Campbell pulled out of playing Sidney in Scream 6 due to a contract dispute.

Ghostface's M.O. this time around has led to widespread speculation that it will be revealed that Stu is still alive and hunting down new victims. Even if that isn't the case, there is still the option for any of these characters to return in some way. In fact, each of the three actors in this reunion have returned to the Scream universe after their character's death in some way shape or form.

Ulrich reprised the role of Billy as a ghost haunting his daughter Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera) in Scream 2022 while Lillard had a voice-only cameo in the film as the Ghostface killer in the eighth Stab movie, roles either performer could very well return to. Kennedy could also reprise his Scream role via archive footage as he did in Scream 3 when he explained the rules of a horror trilogy. Considering the fact that his niece Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and nephew Chad (Mason Gooding) are two of the new core characters, this also isn't outside the realm of possibility.
