The cast of the 2010 comedy action film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World have come together for a script read-through for the film's 10th anniversary. The film was co-written, produced, and directed by Edgar Wright, and is based on Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel series Scott Pilgrim. The film stars Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, a musician who competes against the League of Evil Exes, comprised of his girlfriend's exes, to win a record deal. Though Scott Pilgrim was not a box office success upon its release, it has gained a cult following in the years since.

EW reports the cast of Scott Pilgrim organized a remote read-through of the script in May. The reunion was not only intended to celebrate the film's 10th anniversary, but also to raise money for the charity Water for People, a global nonprofit that helps people bring clean water to their communities. The read-through will be hosted on EW.com on an undetermined date this summer. Writer-director Edgar Wright and original artist Bryan Lee O'Malley joined the cast, which included Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ellen Wong, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Jason Schwartzman, and others, for the read-through.

Edgar Wright previously announced plans to re-release Scott Pilgrim in theaters, which could garner much greater success than the original release due to the film's cult following. The re-release of Scott Pilgrim vs the World was originally planned for August 2020, but has been delayed indefinitely due to the pandemic.
