Fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians have been split on whether Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick should get back together. Although the couple has kids together and seems to co-parent fairly well, Kourtney's sweet relationship with Travis Barker proves Scott will never give her what she deserves. Scott and Kourtney just aren't good for each other, no matter how badly some fans might want to see them give it another shot.
Scott and Kourtney started dating back in 2005 when Keeping Up With the Kardashians was just starting out. Right away, the family wasn't crazy about Scott, and the two broke up for the first time after a few years. Scott's outlandish behavior and crazy partying have long been a sore spot in his and Kourtney's relationship and contributed to the breakup. However, Kourtney found out she was pregnant with their first child, Mason, soon after, and the couple rekindled their romance. This started a pattern that would persist for about ten years. Scott would do something crazy, sometimes at a family function, and Kourtney would break up with him, only to rekindle their relationship when taking care of their children.
However, this pattern finally stopped when Scott started dating Sofia Richie. Their relationship was reportedly difficult for Kourtney, and she made it harder for Sofia and Scott to stay together. After Scott's second stint in rehab, he and Sofia called it quits. It looked like he and Kourtney might get back together again when they spent a lot of time together with their children during COVID-19. However, Scott's relationship with Amelia Hamlin went public soon after, and Kourtney is now dating Travis Barker. Neither Scott nor Kourtney seems particularly happy the other is in a relationship, but they do seem happy with their new partners. Fans have been very supportive of Kourtney's new relationship, and the couple seems infatuated with each other.
In the newest season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the other Kardashian sisters admitted Kourtney was unlikely to get serious with anyone until Scott did. She and Travis seem pretty serious, but she could easily be led back to Scott because of their parenting relationship. The unhealthy relationship pattern she and Scott developed over the years isn't good for either of them and, hopefully, they recognize that now that they're both with more stable partners. Their romantic relationship often brought out the worst in each other, and co-parenting seems like a better position for them to be in.
The Kardashians' lives may always be dramatic, but the level of drama Scott brought into Kourtney's life was too much. Now that they're dating other people, their relationship seems much healthier and they are doing great as parents. Hopefully, they will find everything they need with their new partners and just stay friends.
