Scoobert and his pals have been trekking the globe solving mysteries since 1969. In that time, the gang has faced off against vampires, ghosts, wrestlers, and old people who want to commit tax fraud. Scooby-Doo is joined by his best friend Shaggy, as well as the rest of the gang, Fred, Daphne, and Velma.
There have been 14 television shows, 37 feature-length animated movies, and 5 live-action films so far. 10 Big Top Scooby-Doo- 6.9
Featuring werewolves and a jewel heist, Scooby and gang investigate a circus. The gang goes to the circus at the request of Fred, but arrive too early for a show. Instead, they stumble upon an active crime where werewolves are stealing jewelry. The gang decides to go undercover as various acts. Fred does tightrope, Daphne does motorcycle stunts, and Scooby does an act with the other animals.
Scooby and Shaggy have a conflict about their fame that is resolved quickly. The gang performs for one of Shaggy’s heroes, and discover that the werewolves were baboons in costumes. After arresting the animal handler, Velma figures out that the strongman of the circus was also in on the heists, nabbing him before it is too late.
9 Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf- 6.9
When the Wolfman of legend retires and refuses to participate in a race, Shaggy gets unwittingly conscripted into lycanthropy. Dracula’s annual Monster Road Rally is at risk of being canceled when he finds out a way to create a new werewolf. Shaggy, now a racecar driver with Scooby and Scrappy as his pit crew is targeted for the change.
They attempt to turn him multiple times, including while he slept and while he is shopping with his girlfriend Googie. Shaggy participates in the race, though it is rigged by Dracula to keep him a werewolf. Despite this, Shaggy wins and returns home, where Googie helps him return to being fully human.
8 Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School- 6.9
Scooby, Shaggy, and Scrappy head to an all-girls school to teach gym for some reason, but find out that all the students are the children of monsters, including Dracula, Frankenstein, the Mummy, and a Phantom. Though the trio are frightened, they agree to still teach gym. The main focus of the class happens to be volleyball because of the big match coming up against the Calloway Cadets, a rival boy’s school.
The fathers of the girls come and warn the already fearful Shaggy and Scooby to keep their daughters safe. The girls win the big game, but a witch hypnotizes Shaggy into bringing the girls to her bog. The trio team with a dragon and the cadets to save the girls. They fearfully leave the school when more monster girls join the class.
7 Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase- 7.0
The gang heads into a video game about their adventures to fight a computer virus. After finding out about the game, the gang shows up at a college to check it out. They find a creature called the Phantom Virus causing a ruckus on campus and chase it until they all get sucked into the video game. They travel across several levels designed like the sea, the moon, a colosseum, the dinosaur age, Japan, Egypt, and finally, a large city.
They run into their virtual selves and face off against old enemies from the cartoon series that are not people in masks this time. Scooby beats the game by getting the Scooby Snax and deleting the virus in the process. They find out who created the virus and get him kicked out.
6 Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright- 7.1
The movie breaks down into Phantom of the Opera plus American Idol with Scooby-Doo hanging around. Fred and Daphne are finalists in a show called Talent Star. Upon arriving, the gang finds out about a phantom that is favoring fellow contestant Christine. The gang learns about a previous phantom from the disco days, but that turns out to be a false lead. The owner is also suspected since he was found in the outfit, but he was terrified.
Multiple others are suspected, but it turns out to be an assistant names Ottoman who was using the phantom legend to pull off a heist next door. He is caught, and the gang loses the competition on purpose, exposing another phantom in the director.
5 Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo- 7.1
Velma and the gang go visit her younger sister at a school for magicians. When they get to the school, they are informed that a giant griffin is haunting the grounds. Madelyn, Velma’s sister, is in love with Shaggy and takes him on a romantic walk, only for them to also be chased. The gang faces off against a Banshee to get a staff to control the griffin, but Madelyn is taken. They rescue her quickly after.
The gang finds out the truth that the griffin is just an elaborate puppet made by the brother of the school’s owner, who wanted to become a famous magician himself. Madelyn becomes the brothers’ apprentice at the school in the end.
4 Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers- 7.1
After his uncle dies, Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy head to their new free estate only to be met by ghosts. Before even arriving, they are told to leave by a sheriff who tells them it is haunted. Then they are chased by several spirits. The trio call ghost exterminators, The Boo Brothers, who are ghosts themselves, and Shaggy gets a new romantic interest in Sadie Mae Scroggins.
Everyone seems to be against the trio as they hunt for treasure. They find the treasure, stop the fake ghosts and end up giving the estate to The Boo Brothers. He also donates all of the money to a trust fund for orphans. As they leave, they see the real ghost of Shaggy’s uncle and drive away faster.
3 Scooby-Doo! Camp Scare- 7.2
Taking a page from popular horror trends, the gang goes to Fred’s old camp. The gang hears the tales of the Woodsman, an ex-counselor who got severely brain-damaged by a prank gone wrong years ago, the Fisherman- a boy who fished so much that he became part fish, and the Specter-a long lost hiker. They also find out that an old town at the bottom of the lake has a hidden treasure.
The monsters blow up a dam, exposing the sunken town. The gang gets attacked but manages to capture the Fisherman to find out it was the ranger, who was telling them to leave the whole time, working with an escaped convict to find the treasure. They are arrested, and the gang serves as camp counselors for the rest of the summer.
2 Scooby-Doo and the Witch’s Ghost- 7.3
With real ghosts and magic, this is a fan-favorite film thanks, in no small part, to the Hex Girls. A famous horror writer, Ben Ravencroft, a subtle parody of Stephen King, invites the gang back to Oakhaven, Massachusetts. On arriving, they find themselves in a tourist spot based on Ben’s ancestors. The locals use the ancestor to create a ruse of a witch in the town but are found out and shamed by Ben.
Ben resurrects his ancestor with a spellbook, but the Hex Girls use their limited abilities to destroy Ben, his ancestor, and the book. The film ends with a massive concert by the Hex Girls and the Mystery Inc. gang.
1 Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island- 7.8
The gang returns together after a break from the team for Daphne’s birthday for a road trip. They then end up in New Orleans after a series of fake mysteries and are invited to the haunted Moonscar Island. Fred and Daphne show romantic interests in other people as a plot point. Scooby and Shaggy are chased by some zombies, escaping narrowly.
Fred and Daphne capture one, and Fred rips it’s head off, finding out it is real. The owners of the island turn out to be evil cat-people, cursed by an ancient cat god. The gang defeats the cat-people, freeing the zombies. Fred and Daphne get back together as well.
