Schitt's Creek went out with the same style and stellar humor that it burst onto viewers' screens with. And as sad as fans are to have seen it go, it's a comfort that the show ended on a good note, as opposed to many beloved shows who keep running just a little too long and sacrifice something of what made viewers love them in the first place.
However, as much as viewers might adore the show's wholesome ending, there are--as there often are with programs fans so adoringly follow--some gaps in knowledge that fans might have felt they were left with. Alexis planned on living with David and Patrick in New York, but with them deciding to stay in Schitt's Creek, this leaves Alexis a bit out on a limb. She implies that she aims to set out on her own, but this isn't exactly an affordable thing to do in NYC. So does she live alone, or find roommates? This is a perfect ending for her character, but one that's a bit technically precarious.
Do David And Patrick Have Kids?
David and Patrick experience an odd moment when Patrick, under the influence of drugs from getting his wisdom teeth removed, expresses a desire to have a baby with David. David asserts that this isn't something he sees himself with--but could this change in their future?
How Is Schitt's Creek Without The Roses?
Viewers don't know Schitt's Creek without the Rose family. Their complex, ever-changing relationship to the town is the center of the show, and so it's difficult to imagine it without them. It makes viewers stretch to imagine quite what this picture would look like--but then again, it's a bit of a sad prospect, after all the friendships that have been made there, and how much the Roses grew.
Why Didn't Twyla Help The Roses With Money?
Twyla drops a huge load of information on Alexis right at the point when everything in the Roses lives is about to change. They are no longer desperate for money, but they were at one point--making it odd that Twyla, who always seems eager to help people out, was actually a billionaire the entire time the Roses were struggling.
Do Alexis And Twyla Keep In Touch?
Alexis and Twyla's relationship undergoes a slow transformation in the show. Alexis for the most part uses Twyla as a sounding board, never really investing in her in any substantial, reciprocal way. But as the show goes on, it's clear that Alexis actually does value Twyla, and their goodbye near the end is rather touching. So do they really stay friends?
Does Moira's Career Take Off?
Moira has ups and downs with her acting career, sometimes completely excited for it and others downright casting it aside, determined to retire. The end sees Moira going off on a new adventure, however; essentially re-booting her entire career with the return of her old soap opera. Viewers might wonder how well this actually goes.
Are The Branches Successful?
Stevie, Johnny, and Roland find a promising investor for their business idea of extending the motel branches throughout the country. Is The Family Really Changed?
The whole idea of the show is that a rich, privileged family is made to undergo vast changes in their lives by moving to a grubby motel in a small town. At first, it doesn't seem like a change in attitude is possible for these characters--but by the end of the series, they have become a closer-knit family interwoven with their community. One can only hope that this improved compassion and humbleness is something that could last.
