Actress Catherine O'Hara (Moira Rose) recently told ET Canada that a Schitt's Creek movie has been in talks for quite some time. However, the actors want to make sure it's the perfect script before diving into it. O'Hara said, "I know there’s been some talk, but Daniel [Levy] always says it has to be the right idea and he’s right. It has to be worth doing. You don’t want to just take advantage of the fact that people want you to do it."

With that being said, the thought of seeing the Roses on the big screen is exciting for fans. As much as they want to see where the Roses ended up after the finale, they also want to see the friendship between Stevie Budd and David Rose again. The quotes they shared separated them from any other duo in the series, making them one of the best friendships in Schitt's Creek.

Stevie & David

Stevie: "I Know Everything About You, About Your History, Your Family, And I'm Still Here." David: "I Think You're My Best Friend."

Although there were plenty of episodes that showed David and Patrick being soulmates, fans couldn't ignore the soulmate connection David and Stevie had. In 'Jazzaguy,' Stevie and David went away for a spa getaway.

David was in a slump with his boyfriend Patrick and Stevie wanted to make him feel better. To get the most out of the trip, Stevie told the hotel they were on their honeymoon. Doing this got them free things that made the trip more fun. And even though the two wound up getting food poisoning, they had a sweet moment where they declared each other their best friends.

David

"You've Been A Great Friend. You've Been My Only Friend, So Great Nonetheless. You've Made My Life Here Survivable."

David has a way with sarcastic yet lovable quotes — especially when Stevie is involved since sarcasm is their main form of communication.

At the end of season 1, the Roses thought they sold Schitt's Creek and were getting out. David didn't realize how hard it would be to leave Stevie behind so he invited her to live with him in New York. Knowing that she'd never make it in New York, Stevie declined. David was gutted hearing this and told her that she had made his life "survivable." Without Stevie, David wouldn't have become the man he was by the finale.

Even though Stevie and David are best friends, they had a short stint where they found themselves physically attracted to each other. While browsing the general store, Stevie tried to find out more about David's sexuality.

Fans later found out from Johnny Rose that David is Pansexual, but David's example of being interested in "the wine, not the label" was beautiful. The look on Stevie's face during the conversation showed respect and admiration for her best friend.

"David, Look At This Place. You've Won!"

By the final season, Patrick and David's relationship timeline was ending beautifully. Between a wedding and a house, the two found their happily ever ending.

One sweet scene showed David and Stevie looking at the house he and Patrick planned on moving into. However, David wasn't so sure about setting up roots in Schitt's Creek since he was so attached to New York. Stevie reminded David that he didn't need his rude friends in New York to be happy. While pointing at his new home, she told David he "won," which moved them both to tears.

"That's My Friend!"

There's no denying that the Roses matured since the beginning of Schitt's Creek, but so did Stevie. Stevie went from being set in her ways and afraid of changing to being open to new experiences and people.

When the town put on a local production of Cabaret, Stevie was the perfect person to play Sally Bowles. She transformed into the character but couldn't have done it without David's support. The Roses rallied behind Stevie to try something new, and she succeeded.

Stevie

"It's One Chromosone Away From A Crochet Blanket."

There's no denying that David wore some of the best sweaters in Schitt's Creek since he wore them for every season. However, the town took some time to get used to the Roses fashion choices.

The closer Stevie and David became the more open she was about his style. She had no problems poking fun at his sweaters and how much he spent on clothes. Their ability to nag each other without getting offended proved they were on their way to becoming best friends.

David

"I Think I Need Moral Support While I Slip A Piece Of Paper Under The Glass With The Bug And Take The Trapped Bug And Walk Outside."

Since Stevie eventually owned the motel that the Roses were living in, David needed her help for basic things until he became familiar with what living in a motel was like. And one of those things that David needed help with was spider control.

In one scene, David became a meme when he asked for Stevie's assistance with removing a spider from his room. While Stevie suggested they kill it, David adorably wanted to transport the spider outside. He only needed Stevie there as emotional support.

David

"I Say We Get Several Rounds Of Polar Bear Shots, Load Up Some Mariah, And I Will Spend The Rest Of The Night Pretending Not To Resent You."

In 'The Dress,' Stevie dragged David out of Schitt's Creek under false pretenses of seeing the botanical gardens. As it turned out, Stevie planned on meeting up with the man she was hooking up with, Emir, but didn't want to show up alone in case anything bad happened.

David was annoyed that he was the third wheel but once he realized Stevie needed him for emotional support (especially after Emir was late), he was the friend she needed. They drank at the bar and sang karaoke, making the best out of the night until Emir came and Stevie felt safe. Aside from this lovable quote, David's karaoke performance lived rent-free in fans' heads

Stevie

"I Assume You Two Will Be Moving In Together And I Won't Be There To Give You Towels When You Need Them."

The Roses were both worried and annoyed when Stevie was late as the lead role in Cabaret. When she eventually showed up, she handed David a beautifully rolled towel. She said she was late because she had to pick up personalized towels that she got for David a home-warming gift.

Now that David was moving out of the motel, he wouldn't be able to ask her for fresh towels when he needed them. The gesture was incredibly heartfelt and showed how close they became since season 1.

David: "[Minimum Wage?] Which Is What, 40 Or 45, Something An Hour?" Stevie: "Mm-Hm Exactly."

David had one of the best character arcs in the series. He was once selfish and had his head in the clouds but finished the series a more compassionate and dependable person.

At the start, David asked Stevie how a person found a job in Schitt's Creek. When she told him their local grocery store needed a bag boy, he asked her if the minimum wage was around $40-45 dollars. Ever the sarcastic friend, Stevie agreed with David even though she knew the minimum wage was far lower than that. This was the start of their sarcastic and dry friendship that fans loved.
