Canadian sitcom Schitt's Creek is full of hilarious and embarrassing moments over its six seasons. The Roses went from being multi-millionaires traveling around the globe to being stuck in the small town of Schitt's Creek. While rebuilding and rebranding themselves, the Roses got to know the townspeople and came to consider them a part of the family.
Many of the show's most cringe-worthy moments were because the Roses were completely out of touch with reality. From Moira's accent getting her in trouble to Johnny's mortifying speech at a funeral he didn't belong at, Schitt's Creek knows how to make its audience squirm.
Dinners With The Schitts And A New Buyer
At the end of season 1, the Roses are excited when they have a potential buyer of Schitt's Creek, a man named Andy Roberts. Andy is easy to get along with and wealthy enough to buy the town. Unfortunately for Johnny, they couldn't sell the town to Andy until Roland, the mayor of Schitt's Creek, signed off on it. Roland decided he would allow the sale if they all had dinner at his house.
The dinner was going smoothly and Andy was about to sign off on the papers until he fell into a macaroni and cheese coma. Even in a coma, Johnny and Moira tried forcing Andy to sign the papers while screaming at him to wake up for the sake of their future. The entire ordeal was beyond uncomfortable.
David's Happy Ending
In the sixth season, Patrick knew that David was going to be stressed on their wedding day. To calm him down, Patrick set him up with a massage at home. David felt much better as the masseuse rubbed him down but things got heated when a "happy ending" was involved.
David was shocked that Patrick would allow such a thing hours before their wedding but went along with it. When Patrick came home, they both found out that the masseuse took Patrick's words too literally and it was all a misunderstanding.
Embarrassing Schitt's Creek
For Johnny and Moira's anniversary, they go to a romantic restaurant in Elmdale to celebrate. As always, their dinner goes awry when Roland, Jocelyn, and their old friends Don and Bev join them. Don and Bev Taylor were their former friends from when the Roses were rich, and catching up with them was like going back in time.
Sadly, the Taylors began bashing the town of Schitt's Creek, which upset Jocelyn and Roland. And surprisingly, their words also offended Johnny and Moira. Watching the Taylors belittle the town that has brought so much to the Schitts and the Roses was hard to watch.
Alexis & Ted Breaking The Sink
When David and Patrick were away, Alexis and Ted stayed at Rose Apothocary to run the store. But while waiting for a package, Alexis and Ted began roleplaying and took their racy actions to the back room. While they were back there, they realized that they left the front door unlocked and that they could have missed the delivery man and/or patrons. But the idea of people hearing them be intimate excited them.
They both ran to the store's new bathroom to continue their playtime but it ended quickly when they broke the sink. Knowing that David and Patrick just added that bathroom to the store, they tried lying their way out of the broken sink to save face. As expected, their cringe-worthy fibs failed and David found out the real story.
The Funeral
In "Carl's Funeral," Bob asks Johnny to speak at his brother's funeral. The only problem is that Johnny had no idea who Carl was. Bob told Johnny that Carl looked up to Johnny and was inspired by him, and yet, Johnny was still drawing a blank.
During the funeral, Johnny tried saying nice words but became distracted when a baby began crying. He went on a tangent about not wanting to die in Schitt's Creek and that he had to get out of there. Seeing the bewilderment on people's faces, Moira took control and began singing "Danny Boy" to change the direction of the cringe-worthy speech.
The Robbery At Rose Apothocary
When Patrick was out of the store, David and Stevie hung out and chatted as they normally did. But when a robber showed up demanding money, the pair of friends panicked. They realized they didn't have much money in the cash register and the only thing they could offer him were products. Basically, they put together a wonderfully expensive gift bag and handed it to the robber with a smile.
The entire scene was cringe-worthy to get through because the robber seemed genuinely confused as to why they were giving him so many free things. Things got worse when David had to explain the robbery to Patrick.
The Allez-Vous Sales Pitch
In "Allez-Vous Sales," Moria is appalled when an old friend sends her a box of Allez-Vous skincare. David was excited by the box of goodies but Moira explained to him that the box was a part of a pyramid scheme. Instead of trashing it, mother and son decided to try and sell the Allez-Vous goodies themselves. They gathered most of their friends from Schitt's Creek and tried selling them the products in a cringe-worthy scene. David was covered in bronzing cream and Moira's acting skills failed her. Their friends saw right through the act and told them that their two years too late. Most of the ladies in the room were already selling Allez-Vous and couldn't get anywhere doing it.
Roland Didn't Get The Hint
When the Roses moved into the motel, Roland met them there to welcome them to the town. However, the excitement was one-sided. The Roses were put off by Roland's clueless behavior as he refused to leave them alone. Instead of letting the family get comfortable at the motel, Roland took a seat on the bed and started watching TV. He ignored all of Johnny's attempts of ridding him until Johnny panicked and screamed "Could you get the f—k out!?" The entire situation was unfathomable.
The Afternoon Delight
When David began seeing Jake, the new couple spent the afternoon together at the motel because no one was home. But just as Jake was exiting the shower, David's parents walked in and caught the two. Jake was calm, cool, and collected meeting Johnny and Moira for the first time but David was a wreck. The more he tried covering up their time together, the more embarrassing it became. The straw that broke the camel's back was when Johnny asked if they were having an "afternoon delight."
Moira And Johnny Get A New Car
After saving enough money, Johnny knew it was time to get a new car for the family. However, he needed to talk the dealer down in price. He didn't want to dress in his traditional stylish suit, so he asked Roland if he could wear his clothes to make him look the part. If asking a friend for help to look poor wasn't cringe-worthy enough, Moira's accent and fake persona were so hilariously uncomfortable that it's shocking the couple left with a car at all.
