Ever since the soon to be cult classic comedy Schitt's Creek dropped its Season 6 trailer, fans have been hard at work dissecting its plot points. Season 5 ended on many high and low moments, like Patrick and David's emotional engagement, Ted leaving Alexis behind to go study turtles, and Moira left wondering if her film career reboot fizzled before it really had a chance to blast off again.

The trailer provides many tantalizing clues, such as the Roses once again wearing designer duds and formal wear, and Stevie wearing a flight attendant outfit. Did they finally sell the town? Is Stevie finally getting out of it? And if Alexis is supposed to be meeting up with Ted, why is she still in it? Here are 5 of the best (& 5 worst) fan theories about how it will end.

BEST: DAVID & PATRICK'S WEDDING WILL BE UNIQUELY THEM

If we're being honest, we don't expect this wedding to go perfectly because David is no doubt going to be a Groomzilla, but if the proposal at the end of Season 5 was any indication, the wedding will be unexpected and uniquely them.

Some fans have speculated about whether the ceremony will be a rustic, outdoor wedding on a lavender farm or something more urban. They're pretty sure the reception will be at Rose Apothecary, Patrick will sing another song, and David will wear something suitably fabulous. Maybe Rachel will even crash it!

WORST: ALEXIS WILL GET PREGNANT

Alexis Rose looking worried

Fans have watched for four seasons as Alexis changed from a spoiled socialite into a savvy career woman. She finished her high school degree, went on to rock the online college jam, and graduate with a focus on communications. She even opens her own communications firm in Schitt's Creek, no longer seeking validation from her relationships with men.

Alexis needs to find personal fulfillment and growth through her pursuit of higher education and a career before she decides that a baby with Ted is the way to go about it. Plus, the Season 6 trailer seems to show Alexis never followed Ted to the Galapagos Islands, so their relationship may not be ready for a child.

BEST: JOHNNY & MOIRA WILL GET THEIR OWN PLACE

Moira and Johnny at the Cafe Tropical

After several years of living in a motel room adjoining the one their kids live in, it's high time that the matriarch and patriarch of the Rose family get more suitable accommodations. After all their hard work fixing up the Rosebud, they deserve a home of their own.

Fans know that David and Alexis certainly don't plan to live the motel life forever. Patrick and David will most likely move in together after the wedding, and Alexis might be doing turtle research with Ted. So Johnny and Moira can find a nice country abode to settle down in, preferably with a room to house Moira's wigs.

WORST: THE CROWS HAVE EYES III IS NEVER RELEASED

Schitt's Creek Moira in The Crowening

Unfortunately for poor Moira, after a difficult time overseas filming "The Crows Have Eyes III: The Crowening," she discovers the entire production is going to be shelved. Brokenhearted, she returns to Schitt's Creek without a rebooted film career just while everyone else is making great progress in their lives.

Some fans have theorized the movie will never get released, and Moira will try even harder to get her family out of the small town, even going so far as to sabotage their happiness. That would negate all the selfless growth Moira has done in the past few seasons, like helping her children build their businesses, and helping Stevie became a star in "Cabaret."

BEST: STEVIE GETS HER BIG BREAK OUTSIDE SCHITT'S CREEK

Stevie Budd has been living in Schitt's Creek all her life and never seen the big wide world beyond. She dreamed of getting out but didn't feel like she had what it took to make it. Then her aunt died, left her the Schitt's Creek Motel, and when the Rose's moved in her life became inextricably tied to theirs.

In Season 5, Moira helps Stevie come out of her comfort zone by coaxing her into the lead in "Cabaret," which she nails right when she was getting depressed that everyone was doing something amazing but her. In the Season 6 trailer, eagle-eyed fans spotted Stevie in a flight attendant uniform, implying she's off to bigger and better horizons!

WORST: DAVID CALLS OFF THE WEDDING

Dan Levy in Season 1 finale Town for Sale

Some very unhappy individuals have decided to rain on other fans' parades by insinuating that David might suddenly get cold feet and call off the wedding to Patrick. They've cited his emotional instability and immaturity as reasons he won't be able to go through with the next step in their relationship.

This would erase the personal growth David has done by becoming more open with Patrick emotionally, as well as negate the words from actor/co-creator Dan Levy himself who assured fans that David and Patrick would get the happily ever after fans want them to have.

BEST: TWYLA GETS A LOVE INTEREST

At the tropical cafe

While it would appear everyone else has paired up in Schitt's Creek, the perpetually positive proprietor of the Cafe Tropical has yet to meet her Mister Right. Even at the Singles Week events organized by Alexis, Twyla didn't seem to find any potential love interest.

Judging by the trailer, Alexis appears to still be in town in Season 6, so fans have wondered if she won't push Twyla to go out on the town with her for some girl bonding time. Who knows, perhaps she'll get better acquainted with Ivan the breadmaker and the pair can be adorably awkward together.

WORST: THE BUYER COMES OUT OF HIS COMA & BUYS THE TOWN

Ever since the Roses got to Schitt's Creek, the town they bought for David's birthday as a joke, they've been trying to sell it. Johnny Rose decided sprucing up the Schitt's Creek Motel would help rejuvenate the town's economy, and the renamed Rosebud Motel did just that.

Fans have thought that if the potential buyer he had willing to offer $1 million dollars ever came out of his coma, Johnny would sell immediately. But with not just the Rosebud Motel, but Rose Apothecary, Alexis Communications, and Moira's community theater pursuits, it doesn't seem like the Roses would up and leave.

BEST: THE ROSES RENAME THE TOWN & DECIDE TO STAY

Ever since the Roses laid eyes on the sign for Schitt's Creek, with the colorful mural of the brother and sister bending over inappropriately for every motorist to see, we've wondered if they'd ever change the name and the welcome imagery.

Perhaps they could come up with something together with Roland and Jocelyn so that their name and heritage wasn't abandoned, but somehow not indicative of bumpkin incest. Perhaps it could reflect both of them and be called Schitt-Rose? Rose-Schitt?

WORST: ROSE APOTHECARY SHUTTERS

With customers that don't know the difference between bath bombs and bath salts, it's amazing that David's artisan self-care shop is able to stay open in Schitt's Creek. Fans have wondered if the quirky community it serves will be able to keep it afloat much longer.

To have Rose Apothecary close down so soon after David invested so much of himself into it would be an unfortunate direction for the series to take, especially since it showcases his brand marketing skills, emotional maturity, and business acumen working with his fiance.
