Schitt's Creek is a popular and well-received show that follows the wealthy Rose family as they lose all of their money and have to move to the small town of Schitt's Creek. The fish out of water story, which just had its final episode, follows the Roses as they interact and eventually become close with the quirky characters living in the town.

Schitt's Creek introduces several unique characters who change throughout the series but still keep their strong personalities. There are also particular characteristics and personalities that horror movie characters have that typically allows the audience to guess how long they'll appear in the movie and if they'll survive to the end.

Roland Schitt

Schitt's Creek - Roland and Jocelyn smiling impishly

Roland tends to be a completely clueless character that doesn't pick up well on social cues even when they're pretty well explained to him. He doesn't understand most nuanced situations and still has a difficult time when they're explained to him. Because of this defining character trait, Roland most likely would be the first to go in a horror movie by going to see what that weird noise was outside without any concern or worry.

Moira Rose

Moira Rose leaving Schitt's Creek behind

Moira tends to break down at any sign of stress and fighting for your life from a killer in a horror movie is arguably the most stressful situation anyone can be in. She isn't able to keep her cool after reading mean comments about her acting career online, which is a clear sign she wouldn't be able to stay calm if a masked killer were after her. She'd understand the situation quicker than Roland would, but she probably would respond terribly to it unless she's able to muster one of her legendary slaps to stop the killer in their tracks.

David Rose

David oddly looking at Stevie in Schitt's Creek.

David Rose is an extremely anxious character and his high anxiety level wouldn't help him in a horror movie. He tends to pick up and adapt to situations quicker than Roland or Moira would, but he still wouldn't be one of the last survivors in a horror movie.

David eventually learns to live with the things he has and the people he loves in Schitt's Creek, but David does have some high standards that he wouldn't be able to meet as a horror movie survivor.

Johnny Rose

Johhny Rose (Eugene Levy) looking shocked in Schitt's Creek

Johnny is a little more serious and than his son and his wife, but he can still break down at a minor inconvenience although he tends to keep his cool longer than David or Moira does. Johnny tries to come up with comprehensive plans and although they don't work well all the time at least he tries to come up with solutions to problems that he is able to identify. He would be a good side character in a horror movie, but most likely wouldn't make it until the end.

Jocelyn Schitt

Jocelyn is a deceptively smart and independent character who at first glance seems to be similar to her husband Roland, but it's clear that Jocelyn is more perceptive and is a better problem-solver than her husband. She tends to stay calmer than the Roses in a stressful situation too, which makes her more likely to survive a horror movie than her husband and most of the Rose family.

Patrick Brewer

Patrick Brewer playing guitar in Schitt's Creek

Patrick is an incredibly sweet and caring character who begins an adorable relationship with David where he frequently shows his stability and calm nature under pressure. He's able to quickly adapt to situations and can keep optimistic under stress and a good problem-solver, and these characteristics would help him in a horror movie. It's unclear if Patrick would have enough of a killer instinct in order to survive, but keeping calm and optimistic is half the battle.

Ted Mullens

Ted surprises Alexis from the Galapagos Islands in Schitt's Creek Season 6

Ted Mullens is a sweet and caring character that might not last until the end of a horror movie, but he's also a very calm character who performs well under stress. He's a good problem-solver and isn't high strung at all as he's mostly content in his life because he can see the silver lining to almost any situation. He also has some medical training being a veterinarian, and those skills could be used if he or someone is injured and they can't get to a hospital.

Twyla Sands

At the tropical cafe

Twyla has a lot of throw-away lines on Schitt's Creek that reveal that she has a difficult life and she tends to suffer in silence. Twyla is an incredibly strong person who knows how to keep her composure at work even when her personal life is in shambles and that type of demeanor would certainly help her survive a horror movie. Most likely Twyla would be able to hold her own against a masked killer in a horror movie.

Alexis Rose

Alexis Rose Schitt's Creek

Alexis Rose might not seem like she would last long in a horror movie at first glance, but if the viewer pays attention to her dialogue it's clear that she would fare well. She's had to survive treacherous situations on her own and she's survived every single one of them.

Due to Alexis's past of surviving dangerous situations, she most likely would survive a horror movie because, honestly, she's already survived multiple horror movies already in her life.

Stevie Budd

Emily Hampshire as Stevie in Schitt's Creek

Out of all the characters in Schitt's Creek, Stevie Budd most fits the final girl trope meaning that she's the most likely to survive throughout an entire horror movie. She's a tough, sarcastic, and completely independent woman who rarely becomes overwhelmed even under stress. She tends to quietly do the right thing without announcing her plan before acting, which gives her a nice element of surprise in a horror movie.
