Schitt's Creek is at the top of everyone's radar when it comes to comedy series, and this Canadian sitcom has proved its one of the best by winning Golden Globes and trending on Netflix. This show dazzles fans with its dry and senseless humor, but it also pulls at heartstrings and fills hearts whole.
Every television series has its romances, and this show is certainly no exception. From David and Patrick to Alexis' serious relationships to the iconic Johnny and Moira, some are certainly power couples. It's time to see which pairs were actually slaying love - and fans - the most.
Mutt & Tennessee
For a secondary character that comes and goes, Mutt makes this list a few times. It turns out he has a few relationships and is actually a pretty decent partner. Tennessee came into the picture in a bit of a strange way, and it was really to just make Alexis jealous and help her character arc.
Still, Tennessee was a beautiful woman with a free spirit and intelligent mind. She and Mutt seemed like they could be a great couple, however, that clearly didn't last when Mutt returned from their trip alone. Still, they weren't bad together.
Twyla & Mutt
These lovable side characters were a couple that was a pretty normal one, but there really wasn't anything bad about them. They had definitely lost their spark, but they were still supportive of each other and a cute couple to watch and navigate their romance.
Of course, this is one where fans were also shipping another pair - Mutt and Alexis. So, fans weren't exactly sad to see it sizzling out, but that doesn't mean they weren't a decent couple to have at the beginning of the series.
Stevie & Emir
This casual fling definitely broke Stevie's heart, and viewers certainly weren't happy with Emir because of it. However, before things crashed and burned, Stevie and Emir were actually a pretty decent couple.
It was arguably the best relationship Stevie had, and she finally got a sophisticated, handsome, and kind guy to treat her well and take her out on the town. Of course, he wasn't in it for the long run, which was a total shame for Stevie fans.
David & Stevie
It's been pretty universally decided by the fandom that David and Stevie are much better as friends, but there are still some who think they were a pretty stellar romantic pair. Everyone saw it coming, but them being a 'couple' was pretty short-lived.
Still, there's something to say about how supportive these two are of each other. Couples should be best friends, and these two certainly are. Stevie understands David and David gets Stevie, and they're both pretty misunderstood otherwise. They have each other's backs, and they weren't a bad couple.
Alexis & Mutt
This relationship was far from a bad one. In fact, fans immediately knew that these two beautiful people and care-free souls would eventually try to make a romance work. They had fun and were both free-spirited and spontaneous in their relationships.
Alexis just wasn't ready to be that committed, but even she said that Mutt changed her for the better. This couple was one fans rooted for at the time, but it likely fizzled out for the better of both parties. Still, they were romantic and fun to watch.
Ted & Heather
Fans weren't exactly rooting for this couple, but it's really only because they wanted Alexis to be happy - and she was head over heels for Ted. However, the little fans got to know Heather, she seemed like a pretty great gal.
Beyond that, she and Ted actually did seem to get along really well, and they had similar interests. If Ted's heart wasn't always pining for Alexis, these two probably could have made it pretty far. They were a happy, mature, and fun couple.
Alexis & Ted
While many lovers of this show are happy that Alexis finally grew into a mature and responsible woman who was achieving her dreams, they still definitely wish it would have worked out with Ted. These two were an unlikely pair, but they certainly defied the odds.
Ted brought out the intelligent and ambitious side of Alexis, while Alexis brought passion and spontaneity to their lives. They endlessly supported each other, and after they both finally grew up, it unfortunately just wasn't mean to be. That doesn't mean they aren't still one of the best couples the series had to offer.
Roland & Jocelyn
Fans might always be cringing or shaking their heads at both Roland and Jocelyn, but the truth is, these two have the purest love there is. They're quirky beyond belief, and while they definitely give the other characters a run for their money, they're always on the same page.
They keep each other uplifted and they're always having fun. Besides that, they do everything together, and there are no secrets when it comes to this power pair. They may annoy some, but it's probably just because their love is so genuine.
Johnny & Moira
There really is no couple as impressive as Johnny and Moira. They've been together for years, and despite being wildly different, they really do complement each other in the best ways. Even when they clash, they really never fight, and always end their conversations with love.
They're a power couple if there ever was one. Their love for each other is passionate and true, and their loyalty is never doubted. Beyond that, they still have fire and romance going on even after years of marriage. They're definitely couple goals.
David & Patrick
It would probably offend all fans of this series if David and Patrick weren't #1. As soon as fans were introduced to Patrick, they were head over heels - just like he was for David. Again, they couldn't be more different, but they bring out the best in each other.
They have fun together and are endlessly supportive, and Patrick can keep David on planet earth while David keeps Patrick on his toes. These two have a love story that everyone swooned over, and they're undoubtedly one of the best sitcom couples to ever hit the small screen.
