The lives of the Rose family have consumed Schitt's Creek fans. After falling from grace, Johnny, Moira, Alexis, and David did what they could to make Schitt's Creek their new makeshift home. Along the way, the small-town vibe charmed the Rose family and introduced viewers to more characters.

Season 1 presented most of the characters that would remain in the series throughout the show's six seasons, but there are a handful of memorable characters that popped up after season 1. With the likes of the Schitt family, sweet Twyla, and hilariously sarcastic Ronnie, Schitt's Creek did an incredible job of adding texture to the main cast. But who's the best Johnny-come-lately?

Patrick Brewer

In season 3, David was ready to open his own business but needed help with a business license. Patrick Brewer was helping Ray with odds and ends around the town and assisted David with his business idea. After getting to know David and his plan for Rose Apothocary, Patrick went into business with him to help get the store off the ground. Eventually, the two business partners fell for each other and got married in season 6. Patrick was a delightful addition to the series because he was David's complete opposite. He was level-headed and added a different perspective to the Rose family.

Wendy Kurtz

David and Wendy talking at Blouse Barn

Wendy Kurtz was introduced in season 2 and was responsible for giving David one of his first jobs in Schitt's Creek. She owned the Blouse Barn and hired David as the store's manager. David's style was completely different than the Blouse Barn's but he felt like he was adding value to the store that Wendy lacked.

Wendy closed the store after settling in a lawsuit over Blouse Barn's name, but she gave David a large portion of her settlement for helping her. Wendy was sweet-natured but hilariously oblivious. She popped up again in season 5 after bumping into David at a business market.

Jake

David and Jake caught having an afternoon delight

In season 2, David and Stevie attended a party where they both separately struck up a flirtation with Jake. To their surprise, Jake reciprocated with each of them. The best friends dated Jake at the same time, which was harder for David than for Stevie. The potential throuple ended but Stevie continued seeing Jake while keeping David in the dark.

Jake continued popping up throughout the series and even appeared to have a crush on Patrick at one point. His charm and good looks always made David and Stevie uncomfortably awkward, which added hilarity to these scenes.

Klair

Alexis and Klair in Schitt's Creek

Klair appeared in one episode in season 4, but her personality was electric enough to make her memorable. As an old friend of Alexis', Klair visited Schitt's Creek because it was "so random" and she wanted to get out of the city. Klair acted just as Alexis did in season 1: out of touch, ditsy, and a little fake.

Klair hated her friend Albany and continued to bash her behind her back while talking to Alexis. If Alexis wasn't in Schitt's Creek, it's assumed this was the crowd she would have hung out with.

Cheryl Mullens

In the fifth season, Ted's mom, Cheryl, stayed at the Rosebud Motel while visiting her son. Johnny was told that Ted's mom was going through a rough time, but when she arrived, she was stunning and bubbly. In fact, Cheryl was so charming that John thought that she had a crush on him. Her feelings for him were cleared up by the end of the episode but her colorful personality was a breath of fresh air. If Ted and Alexis worked out, she would have been a fun mother-in-law figure.

Ruth Clancy

In season 6, Johnny and co. attempted to franchise Rosebud Motel. Johnny, Stevie, and Roland were supposed to meet with Mike Morrison of Advantage Capital but ended up meeting his assistant Ruth because Mike was whisked out of town on short notice. Ruth's colleagues were anything but kind to the trio, but Ruth saw a different side to the group and their business proposition. She respected Johnny Rose as an entrepreneur and wanted to give his business idea the greenlight. Without Ruth, who knows if Rosebud Motel would have been franchised.

Doris

Doris appeared in season 2 as a client of Ted's and the owner of a cat named Mittens. A hypochondriac, Doris always thought things were wrong with Mittens and showed up at the clinic every week, even though Ted knew the cat was healthy. Ted knew how to handle Doris but it took Alexis awhile to understand her. Eventually, Alexis hit it off with Doris and was able to soothe her worries.

Ivan

Ivan baking his muffins on Schitt's creek

Ivan showed up in season 2 as a local baker and supplier to Cafe Tropical. Ivan was happy to give Cafe Tropical his muffins because of his crush on Twyla. After John nygot to know Ivan better, he was able to work a deal with him to get Ivan's baked goods at Rosebud Model. Not much was known about Ivanm but his crush on Twyla won fans over.

Baby

Moira and johnny talk to baby about her cat on schitts creek

While John and Moira were on their way to a spa, they accidentally ran over a cat in front of a farm. The couple felt horrible and decided to tell the farmers what happened. They told Moira and John that their "baby" was going to be devastated by the loss and that Moira and John should be the ones to break the news to her. Little did they know, Baby was an adult woman.

Baby didn't add too much to the show's plot but it was the entire scene that made her so noteworthy. From the tears to another opportunity for one of Moira's signature "bébés," Baby was one of the best parts of season 5.
