Schitt's Creek fans can finally have a chance to dress like the Rose family, as the show's wardrobe is officially being auctioned off to the public. The Canadian sitcom made its debut in January of 2015 on CBC Television and premiered a month later in the United States on Pop TV. It wasn't until 2017, after hitting Netflix, that the show really started to gain traction and developed a very devoted following. The story follows the Rose family -- consisting of parents Johnny and Moira and their two adult kids David and Alexis -- as they adjust to small-town living in Schitt's Creek after losing their fortune to a fraudulent business manager. The show has become a favorite to many and even garnered a few Emmy nominations this year for Eugene Levy in the Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category, Catherine O'Hara for Lead Actress, and Outstanding Comedy Series.

Although season 5 already aired on CBC and Pop TV, the penultimate season will be hitting Netflix in October. Not long after that news broke, it was also announced that season 6 will be airing on CBC and Pop TV in January of 2020. Unfortunately, season 6 will indeed be Schitt's Creek's final one. But, unlike many shows, the decision to end after season 6 was actually made by the show's creators and father/son duo, Eugene and Dan Levy. Both of them truly felt that they had told the story that they wanted to tell, and that this was the perfect time to say goodbye. As sad as this may be for fans of the beloved series, the public can now have a little piece of the Rose family's closet to remember them by.

The show's Twitter account revealed that on October 3, VSP Consignment will be having a Schitt's Creek wardrobe sale that will "open to the public at 12 pm (ET)." They went on to express that fans will have the opportunity "to shop the Rose family closet" while also helping an organization called "GLSEN in the process."

GLSEN is a nonprofit organization that works to create safe and LGBTQ-inclusive environments in schools for grades K-12. Levy has always been very open about his vision for the show and his hope to spread love and kindness through its beautifully-told narrative, so working with this organization makes a world of sense. Not only is it a phenomenal cause to contribute to, but the auction is a fun way for fans to try and acquire some of David's fabulous sweaters or Moira's wonderfully over-dramatic ensembles.

What makes Schitt's Creek so fantastic isn't just the outfits that these characters wear, but it's the message that it delivers after each episode. It's a show that radiates unconditional love, inclusivity, and pride for the stories that it's telling. As sad as it is to know that it's coming to an end, it's one that will always be rewatchable because of how it makes viewers feel once the credits roll. So, not only can fans buy a little something to remember the show by, but they're simultaneously helping out a cause that spreads the same message that Levy has always strived to share through the show. Schitt's Creek encourages the world to love one another no matter who they are, and this auction for GLSEN beautifully reiterates that message.
