Schitt's Creek is the newest home to the Rose family, who struggle to adjust to their new lives. Two characters who struggle yet thrive are Alexis and Johnny Rose. The father-daughter duo goes through a lot of ups and downs but in the end, they manage to transform themselves and their careers in ways no one really saw coming.
Alexis comes into her own and Johnny finds a way to build a business with people he genuinely likes and moves on from what they went through. They both have some brilliant moments throughout the series that really show off well they're written, but who is the funniest character?
Alexis: A Little Bit Alexis
When Jocelyn and Moira hold auditions for the town's performance of Cabaret, Alexis auditions with the theme song from her critically reviewed limited reality series, A Little Bit Alexis.
It's genuinely one of the funniest moments of the show and it's one of Alexis's best scenes, particularly because the song is so catchy.
Johnny: Ted's Mother
When Ted's mother visits, she looks quite different from what Johnny remembers, and because she's newly single, he believes that she's interested in him. Naturally, he feels flattered but he also panics a fair amount because he doesn't know how to approach the situation.
In the end, she's really just seeing her Zumba instructor, but it's cute when Johnny thinks that someone is interested in him and his reaction was great.
Alexis: David's Wedding
Alexis is a bit of a style icon, and it's safe to say that she takes big events pretty seriously. David and Patricks' wedding is a black and white theme, and instead of wearing black, Alexis chooses to wear a white dress that is essentially just a wedding dress without the veil.
It's all worth it for David's reaction as he realizes that Alexis is wearing a literal wedding dress to his wedding, but all is forgiven.
Johnny: The Town Sign
Soon after they move into Schitt's Creek, Johnny sees the extremely inappropriate town sign that any visitor would see when they drive into town, and his reaction is priceless.
Roland is so nonchalant about the whole thing and thinks it's just normal, whereas Johnny is completely horrified by it.
Alexis: When She Gets The Date Of Her Flight Wrong
Alexis plans to go to the Galapagos Islands for 6 months to stay with Ted, but things start to go wrong when she joins Patrick and David on their hunt for wedding venues.
First, Alexis thinks she won't be there for the wedding, and then she realizes that she got the dates wrong when she booked her flight so that she was meant to leave a lot later than she thought she was.
Johnny: The Baseball Game
When the town throws a baseball team and is short on members, Ronnie and Roland recruit Johnny to join their team for the day even though they think of it as a last resort.
What they don't know is that Patrick asked David to be a part of his team. Johnny is so funny in this episode because even when they're on opposite teams, he's just rooting for David to win.
Alexis: David's Tamagotchi's
We know from the show's beginning that Alexis isn't very reliable, and it's even more evident when David asks her to look after the shop for a while even though it's clear he doesn't trust her.
He brings up the one instance where he asked her to take care of his 6 Tamagotchi's and they all ended up dead. She defends herself by saying 6 was too much of a handful but any Tamagotchi owner could relate to this really funny scene.
Johnny: The Hawaiian Party
Johnny and Moira are the outsiders of Schitt's Creek for a while, and they struggle to fit in because they're so different. They manage to get invited to Jocelyn and Roland's Hawaiian night, and it's a good opportunity to mingle and get to know them better.
Moira and Johnny show up wearing all white and they look completely out of place. They get high with Roland and Jocelyn and it's really funny to see Johnny so out of his element but enjoying himself.
Alexis: Single's Week
As part of her new career, Alexis organizes a singles week for all the single people of Schitt's Creek, and it involves fun activities and games like speed dating.
Alexis is at her best during singles week, and she even gets her own happy ending when Ted kisses her. She's really in her element with all the planning and trying to handle the fact Moira wants to be involved all the time.
Johnny: The Creek
Johnny and Moira decide to have some fun which leads to Johnny taking his clothes off in the creek and being caught by a police officer.
This scene is so funny because it's almost obvious that his plan will backfire and when it does, no one really knows what to say. Johnny is a really sweet character and it's the moments where he's caught off guard that are the funniest.
