Warning! Spoilers for Star #2 below!

Scarlet Witch is commonly known as a hero in the Marvel Comics Universe, however, she's been a huge part in some life-shattering events that had cataclysmic results to the world around her. Now, Wanda Maximoff is using her past to prevent another character, Star, from making similar mistakes she did.

As one of the most powerful characters ever, Scarlet Witch has caused major damage to the world she lives in. In House of M, she rewrote reality due to grief, which resulted in millions of mutants losing their powers. While Star isn't quite on the power level of Maximoff, the fact she's got an Infinity Stone bonded with her makes her extraordinarily powerful. However, she still can't quite control her newfound powers.

In Star #2 by Kelly Thompson, Javier Pina, Filipe Andrade, Jesus Aburtov and Clayton Cowles, Scarlet Witch is guiding a confused Star through a cave. Ripley Ryan doesn't know how she got there and Wanda doesn't immediately offer answers. Scarlet Witch and Star get attacked by menacing shadow monsters, as Wanda reveals they are there to see "The Dragon." Wanda reveals that her unchecked use of the Reality Stone is causing serious problems to reality. Star doesn't seem to bother until Wanda tells him she's leaving a huge trail behind her making her vulnerable to those seeking the stone. Later in the issue, that proves to be the case, as Corvus Glaive and the Black Order are tracking her down.

Star Scarlet Witch

Star gets tired of fighting the drones of monsters and says "I'm over this," as she attempts to leave. Scarlet Witch stops her and explains that she's suffered and committed horrors, revealing she unstitched all of reality trying to protect herself. She tells Ripley her pain shouldn't be a competition and heartfully tells her that she'd "like to help you make the same mistakes I have." The issue ends on a cliffhanger with Star and Scarlet Witch reaching their destination, however, there's no dragon. While there's no reveal, it's safe to assume Star will have to slay her own issues like the hypothetical dragon.

Ripley's powers are immense. The fact she carelessly uses the Reality Stone for her own bidding, as Scarlet Witch mentions, has unforeseen consequences on reality. With the Black Order chasing her down, things aren't going to get easier for Star. However, with Scarlet Witch by her side, she has the perfect mentor - or at least someone to relate to - to help her reign in the more uncontrollable aspects of her powers.
